I did a search for this topic and din't find a thread (though I did find a lot of characters...)
OK,
So, in 3.5, ROTL especially, there were regional Feats (Big Game Hunter, etc.)
So, in PFRPG, do we treat this as a Single Background Trait, a free background feat, or does it replace the 2 free traits?

I believe that the Rise of the Runelord "feats" would replace the normal traits. (Hence there are no "campaign traits" for RotRL.)

There are five types of traits. Basic, Campaign, Race, Regional, and Religion. Most people seem to be converting the feats into campaign traits. My group split them up. Some of the feats became campaign traits, some became racial traits. I'm not sure what you mean by "normal" traits.
The traits that were published in the Pathfinder Companion/Second Darkness Player's guide.

That's what I'm asking, do you get a ROTR feat instead of 2 traits, instead of 1 of the traits, or do you get one in addtion to traits.
Basically, I'm not sure that they are too powerful to simply treat them as a single trait.

If you're going to use the feats as written, then only allow the bonus feat as defined in the Player's Guide and stay away from the traits altogether. If you're going to use the converted traits, then decide if they're campaign traits and run with it. If you're looking for more information on traits, start with here and then you could branch out to what site has cataloged.
