the character i am playing is actually a D&D 3.5 edition character, it just happens to use the pathfinder rise of the runelords setting.
Luminiere Solas;
neutral good female human (Chelexian) cleric of sarenrae. (if dm allowed monster manual, i would've gladly made her an aasimaar instead)
unlike those who worship feinds, Luminiere's family worships celestials (especially angels)and she comes from a long line of clerics of sarenrae who happen to be accomplished doctors too (heal skill) the family naming conventions involves the given name being a synonym for one of the following, light, brightness, clarity, purity, sunrise, (even if from another language) historical sun gods from the real world. or anything to do with those. her imediate family livs in sandpoint, extended members are mainly in magnimar.
dm placed npc connections in the form of treating the aasimaar priestess newlia as a childhood friend (to justify her speaking celestial, before newlia went evil.)
How do you roleplay a constantly cheery, goodie two shoes, borderline pacifist, helpful, angel envious, chaste/celibate, deicated (pray facing east every sunrise and every noon, on a special mat that doubles as a bedroll) preistess of sarenrae (i mean wannabe angel/ i mean flonne expy) who happens to be intolerant of anything with even a dash of feindish blood (regardless of real alignment)
for example appeareance take flonne from disgaea, hour of darkness, (before demonification) remove the wings and halo, swap out the original outfit for white ankle length robes, with matching boots and scarf, swap heart pendant for coin medallion with sun engraving, and throw in tiny silver cross shaped earrings.
how would any of you roleplay this character, i seem to have difficulty. (my dm forces you to stick with a character until they die)

actually she sounds fun
but just remember... angels while good are not always nice...for example while Sarenrae is goddess of healing she is also goddess of sun, sun scorches you if there is abuse and in quadira they tok a more N aspect of her in which her rays might heal or harm depending your soul.
besides Sarenrae is quite deeply into fight Evil... yes she is also the reedemer... the cleric would actually ffer Nualia an option to surrender so she is able to redeem her sins... as her friend she might be the only one abel to do that, until she tries she would't kill her...
orcs, goblins and other are evil creatures, its not about redeeming but they have the idea about destruction and taking things from the people she loves, so she will fight them
if you want to play a pacifist then youwill surely be playing buffer/debuffer and healer... just using your msot offensive magic against demons, devils, undeads and the likes... and if you are happy with this is ok :)
i myself would play her as always offering a chance of surrender to her enemies (humans and similar, monsert and others NOT) ifthey acept well, if no she fights but she will let them surrender a 2nd time, just she won't ask again. There are plenty human, or half elven NPC and from other similar races that might become enemies, so this will a usual card.
evil, true evil, demons, devils undead she fight relentlesly, neevr giving or asking quarter or deals or truces. maybe to devils... lets remember Sarenrae and Asmodeus have a cordial relationship and half an alliance since capturing Rovagug. just maybe.
obviusly she gives most of her earnings to the poor and downthroded, at least what is left after equiping herself (she needs to be rightfully prepared to battle enemy and so the angels and her goddess are proud) and titting to her church (so it can continue to spread the good word).
who says she needs to be chaste? who sasy the angels are chaste? still her decision, this can become quite interesting if there is sexual tension between ehr and other PC/NPCs... a true test to her vocation and vows...
remember the usual cleric of Sarenrae, at least in quadira, are derviches... quick witted and agile scimitar wielding warriors, as much used to dancing throug enemies after offering them to surrender as tending the wounded and sick
but for exactly as you emntioned her? well just that, she is cherful, chaste and sweet, healing whoever she can, rpotecting the inocent... and definitively fighting evil with all her strengh even if she prays for her goddess for forgiveness and penitency for fighting and pray for the souls of those she took her life.
but jsut remember... Sarenrae... while a goddess of healing... is not exactly a pacifist...

i kind of went the dervish route you mentioned (swap scimitar for shortsword, throw in weapon finesse feat)
i actually completed the nuelia module a long time ago, so the neulia advice is irrelevant, i am currently trying to face the sandpoint devil. i was hoping more personality stuff. neulia couldn't be spared, nor could a certain corrupt judge. (i didn't inflict any blows on either, and i tried to knock the mooks unconsious.) fled a certain lamia noblewoman who was too powerful. i'll make a few edits. (i'm currently 5th level)

Just because they are NG doesn't mean she needs to be cheery, flightful and always happy go lucky.
Just my 2 cents, I would have a lot of fun with this, one NG seeking the enlightenment of the celestials will do what the celestials do....destroy evil incarnations of demons and devils. Her only saving grace...or the NPC's she runs across is she won't outright kill those that are evil if they can be "saved" and want to be saved. If these evil creatures are taking lives and there is no saving them then the evil must be expelled. LG allows you to follow the laws and bring them to justice, NG for me is more scenario based, evil is evil and if she wants to be noticed by the celestials then she will do her best to make a name for herself among the forces of good and bring the wrath of her god down on them.
Until she gets high enough level to be able to cast atonement, which would right the wrongs of an evil creature...(change alignment) she then should conduct herself that she will try to do what the spell would normally do for her, have them right their wrongs, if they are not willing..well then they won't atone and if they have already committed "murder" or other violent evil actions it would not be against her way to "fix" the situation.
NG..giddy happy, probably not, ferverent in their resolve and the will of their god..yes...abiding by the laws of the land...maybe not.

gah ok that certian lamia will continue to still be very high level
je and sorry didn't know how long you had begun thatmmm 1 mention about scimitar... since its your character goddes, you get the proficiency on the weapon for free, and I think (not suere) it can work too with weapon finesse
mmm ok the thing with Nualia is done, the other commentaries I hope they are useful, I do believe she can be happy, nice and everything, why not? but against evil she need to stand fast, unless its to powerful and she needs reinforcements.

Living Cheliax, where she may occasionally find it prudent to keep her light under a bushel (since faiths other than Asmodeus are frowned upon, but not illegal, for the most part, in many areas), the Cleric might think of herself as always 'behind enemy lines' and be in a constant state of seige mentality. She might keep her hood drawn up and walk decisely, knowing that standing idly around or showing overt signs of her faith could lead to harassment by authorities for unlicensed proselytizing (preaching the faith of Sarenrae in an authorized temple of Sarenrae? Legal and accepted. Standing on a box in the market and street-preaching? A fine and some time in the stocks will be a sign of leniency, and some Hellknights are prone to err on the side of 'draconian and unreasonable' in deciding whether or not a loitering Cleric chatting with others is 'preaching' or not.)
She knows that the heirarchy of her home country is consorting with fiends, and she knows that the vast majority of her countrymen are turning a blind eye to this. While others may joke about 'the world going to Hell,' she lives in a country where this is happening around her eyes, and like the boys from Supernatural (or the team from Angel Investigations), she's literally standing in the middle of a slow-burn Apocalypse, that nobody around her seems to see, as if they were lobsters in a pot, unaware that the temperature just keeps rising...
She doesn't have to be cheery or a 'goodie-two-shoes' to be Neutral Good, just to have a strong sense of empathy for others. She's not Lawful (and might even see the laws of Cheliax as part of the problem, not the solution) and yet she's not Chaotic either (as that way lies Galt, with it's eternal bloody revolution). She's the one who sees the hungry child begging for coin and feels a sense of outrage, not just at the state of this child, but at every person on the street who averts their eyes and hurries past (since she knows they also feel a human connection, by their actions), and a keen sense of disappointment at those who do not seem to even notice the child (because she fears that they have left their humanity behind entirely).
Compassion and mercy aren't just buzz-words to the Neutral Good Cleric of the goddess of Redemption. Everyone has a choice in this world, and they can choose *not* to look the other way and allow evil to flourish. But maybe they have lost their hope, as she prays not to, and merely need to be shone the way, inspired by the example of people like herself, who will stop and offer food or comfort to those who require it, even if they are traditional enemies, whether by dint of being born in the wrong country, or the wrong race, or by bad choices they have made in this life. She doesn't have to be stupid about that either. A troll only needs purification through fire, not a lecture on why eating people is bad...
