I find it ironic that this thread was directly next to this one, in the top ten:
I'll refrain from making comment on the new site, until I've seen it, but the things I would want from such a site would be:
Clean, uncluttered forum appearance (thank you Paizo!), absence of pop-ups, no facility for flashing text or pointless signatures, easy navigation.
It should also attempt to include:
Virtual table top, character visualiser, PC generators, access to online rules text, and image gallery, etc.
Work on those areas and you get my interest.

I do have to laugh at that. I would prefer that WotC had done the site the way they did back when they first started touting Gleemax. I would like Paizo to build something like it so I won't feel drawn to the new site, lol.

Heh...I have the Off-topic forum minimized, so I didn't see that. :-)

Great ideas (except I don't care about a character visualiser), and the new WotC boards don't have any of those (except for the image gallery).

Access to Online Rules text: check.
A paperdoll type thing with all Paizo's awesome object art would be great too.
I would like to see some generation tools. NPCs, treasure. And a system to manage them — for example, let me track how the gear I've given out stacks against wealth by level, or let me as a GM register a campaign and my players can update their sheets online.
Image hosting would be grand.
Virtual Tabletop is not something I want to see from Paizo, since I highly doubt they could put forward an effort better than the free standard (Maptool). Getting bogged down in a VTT attempt has been a massive embarrassment for WotC, because they just aren't a software company. I would like to see paizo throw some more weight behind VTTs passively, especially since WotC seems to be actively abusing that market (VTT loves PDF). Since Paizo is best at making content, continuing to do so in a way that supports multiple VTTs is the best move.
The long and the short of it is, I definitely support the expansion of the website as a tool for players. It would be worth it to get players excited and show off Paizo's second-to-none production values.
