I do like the winning design, though it seems to me that they just grabbed the "&" and slapped it on the shoe. (I haven't really looked into it to see how it was done, this is just a guess.)

I would find it very unlikely that WotC would sponsor a contest and then pick a winner that has Paizo IP on it. I think the artist was also going for more of a "generic" goblin look. Y'know..green, weedy, goes smoosh easily. :)
That being said, I like both the first and second place shoes. The stomped goblin on the bottom is the best!
$100 US is a bit steep, but these are short production runs and a specialty item, so the price per unit is higher. Also, many people will buy anything with the D&D brand, and these are pretty cool.
My daughter likes the goblin stompers, but $100? Dayum.
