Date Conflict Between Campaign Guide and Taldor Guide

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

The Pathfinder Campaign Setting book lists 4079 as the year in which Qadiri forces first invaded Taldor, sparking the Grand Campaign, whereas the Taldor Sourcebook (p. 3) gives the date as 4029. Which date is correct?

Thanks!

I recently brought up a similar issue with James Jacobs with regard to how the PathfinderWiki should handle it. He said that in the case of conflicting information one should defer to the Campaign Setting hardcover and any volume of the Adventure Path line over other Pathfinder material. In cases where these conflict something has gone terribly wrong.

The Taldor date is Taldan propaganda, as they don't want to admit that they have had been handed their ass for two years before the invasion began for real.

Perhaps the Taldans recall some border skirmish as the first intrusion, but more sober historians mark the start of the war with major conflicts?
