Golarian Real World Analogs???

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

OK, I remember there was a pretty interesting thread a while back in which people (including, most importantly, the actual Paizo folks) discussed what real world nations and cultures influenced the various Golarian nations and cultures ... Osirion as ancient Egypt being an obvious example.

I have searched every way I can think of on these boards, but I can't find that $#@&^* thread! Can someone PLEASE point me to it????

Thanks!!!!

True, that did help thanks!

But I still KNOW that thread is here somewhere.

Come on, someone with God like search or memory has to be able to point me to that thread.

Those were all interesting reads - thanks!

Believe it or not though .... none of them was the thread I remember! The one I am looking for had various Paizo folks chiming in with various insights as to what real world countries and cultures from history etc influenced Golarion.

Just about every Golarion nation in the Gazeteer was talked about if I recall correctly ... some of them at length - it was a pretty long thread.

Someone's gotta remember it!

Whoever finds it first gets a prize!!!
