I actually met Karl, back in the summer of 1995 while working on an internship in Los Angeles. He was a really nice man.

But 97...dang...his time was up, methinks.

One thing I noticed in the article about his death - he and his wife were married for 70 years! It seems like you just don't see that kind of devotion in Hollywood much.

When i was a kid, i was watching The Streets of San Francisco, with Karl Malden and Michael Douglas.
This brings a lot of memories.

Rest in peace, sir, you deserved it.
