Greetings Illustrious Pathfinder Society,
I seek to use all the tools at my disposal to further the Pathfinder Society, whether it is a clever lie or a well placed blade from ambush. However, it appears that poisons are not available on the standard list of equipment that I am permitted to purchase. I assure you, I am trained in their safe use, and even know the means to craft them. Will I ever get a chance to use these skills?
With great anticipation,
Pathfinder Charlotte Deschamps
OOC: Hello! Will I ever get a chance to use the second part of the poisoner feat as part of PFS? For the moment, the only good it does is making sure I don't kill myself while Craft (poisonmaking). :-)

Now, now my dear girl – as you’re doubtless aware, the use of poisons upon our fellow humanoids is considered highly illegal in certain areas and it just wouldn’t do to be seen performing such acts. I’m sure of course you were only suggesting their use to rid ourselves of vermin, and other such nuisances. But unfortunately even for such altruistic purposes, poisons are quite difficult to find and often spoil quickly. Rest assured however, if I do find a reliable source, you shall be the first to know.
.
(OOC:There aren’t any poisons available for general purchase I’m afraid, and I’ve not seen any AR access either. Some DMs have let me make craft checks to harvest the venom of poisonous creatures for use within that adventure, but that can vary from table to table. Even so, it’s hardly a wasted feat – the bonus against poisons has saved me more than once.
After the rule change at GenCon, it's likely the Poisoner feat won't be available anyway, so I don't think there are any plans to introduce poisons to PFS in the future. I could be mistaken though)

Poisons are weapons of the weak and frail. Spiders, scorpions and snakes, all which can be crushed under Gorum's boot! Their poisons are the only reason we have noticed these creatures. Learn to wield a great weapon, then you can be assured your survival.
Blood and steel, the way war is meant to be.

OOC: Offically,I dont know, but from what I hear they did a lot of work on the diseases and poisons concept in the PFRPG. Aside of what I think as a character, as a player, I see poisons as an excellent opportunity to rogue players.

The faction feats are being replaced in 2.0 with a Pathfinder Society-specific trait system, which means I'm certain the poisoner feat will go away. The faction feat system, as it currently stands, was a rather clumsy attempt on our part to help round out characters during creation, but I feel the trait system developed by the good folks in the editorial pit is a much better fit for OP.

I personally don't feel that the faction feat system was a bad system as such, just that it was badly implemented, i.e. a couple of factions got feats that were must-haves for certain character types whereas some factions were left with feats that were only flavouring and had very little use within society scenarios.
That said, had I known that my character would be spending so much time fighting on ships I wouldn't have been so harsh on one of the Andoran faction feats. ;)
I for one am excited about the new faction trait system.

Loyal servants of the Primogen Crown,
With the pending loss of the Poisoner Faction Feat, I fear this thread may slowly fade into the background over time. A shame realy, as this thread has acted as a harmless shopfront remaining unoticed by the other clans even though it continues to remain on the front page of the General Discussion Boards. I suggest we utilise this foothold to continue Taldor based conversation within this venue while politely being ignored by non-Taldor passers by who would have no interest in such unsavoury topics.
Come fellow Taldorans. Make yourselves at home.
Please make your introductions below.
