Looking to play Pathfinder in the Austin area. I have played since I was in high school in 1999. I DM but would prefer to play as a character for right now. I have another friend from my old group who is looking to play also. Our other players moved out of town. Both of us are ok with comming in on the middle of a campaign.

I live in Austin and would like to play but I would only be available once or twice a month. Let me know if you hear of a group. I do not mind being DM.

I am just moving to Austin this afternoon, so if anyone is looking for a group I am in. I will be more than happy to DM too.
Who knew there were so many Central Texans here on the boards?
I live in Austin and have been playing weekly with the same group for about 14 years. I don't have the time to commit to a second regular group, but I might be interested in randomly sitting in if the details match up to availability.
Would those who are already in groups or unable to commit to a regular game be interested in a Pathfinder Society group?

Sounds good to me. Looking at this string we should have enough for a table if we can agree on a time.

Awesome, I will be out of town on a shoot for 10 days (but could come back early) from the 16th to the 26th, but after that my schedule is fully open. If anyone wants to have coffee and talk about setting up a game, I would be in.
Sounds good
What part of town is everyone in. I am up north.

Battleforge has a Warhammer Fantasy tournament that day. They usually still have at least one other table open, but it might be tight.
Dragon's Lair has open CCG going on, but they've canceled their ongoing Yu-Gi-Oh league, so attendance might be iffy. Also the CCG stuff doesn't start til 2pm, so we'd probably be able to get in there and secure a table before the card gamers do.

For a Pathfinder Society game, I'm willing to volunteer to run the first game to get folks going, and as I already bought one of the Scenarios last year that I never had a chance to run (#1 Silent Tide). It should be easy enough to convert to PFRPG, so if we have a game on the 15th, it shouldn't be a problem to run.

I do not know if we will be ready to play. Hopefully my book will arrive by then.
Just so we are not wasting time can everyone who can make the meeting ping this thread so we can get a count.

Yeah, my copy isn't due to get here til Friday at best, and I'll need a lil time to familiarize myself with the changed rules and update the scenario to PFRPG. Might be best to try and set it for the 22nd instead...

I am stuck between a Rock and a Weird place.
Pflugerville for those not so hip.
Seriously? I just transferred to Ft Hood, and I have a friend in Pflugerville I was gaming with until I deployed. I have plans on both a Shackled City and Council of Thieves campaign when I get back around the new year.

I just got my copy. I agree it looks like we should move back to the 22nd.
Any suggestions for time. I am free most Saturdays after 1

I'm going to try to run "Silent Tide" this Saturday (August 22nd) at 1:30pm at Dragon's Lair Austin. I will show up around 12:30 or so in case folks need to make characters or have questions (and to score a table before the card gamers show up). I'm also going to hit up the local RPGA list to see if any folks there are interested, but there is a 4E/LFR game day that day at Battleforge, so they may be otherwise occupied.

It was good meeting you yesterday, Mactaka. It seems there's a decent number of folks hungry for some PFS action here in Austin. Perhaps you should direct whoever coordinates events at the Austin store to sign up and post here as well as on the DL site. My schedule is crazy, but I'd love to be able to help stoke the fires of interest when possible.
