I found something at a used bookstore today for $10.00. It appears to be the white box set. The product number is 2002. The first book looks a lot like this but it doesn't have the $3.50 price tag at the bottom. Otherwise it is identical.
Anyone have any idea what I found?

This reminds me, I saw the 1e Deites & Demigods the other day at a used book store and wanted to go back and pick it up. I should have, now that used book stores are the only place you can get old D&D products...
I'm aware that I'm of no help here, but hell, that's pretty much standard, I think. :D
The one on Rideau street?

Well, the Deities & Demigods was the one on Rideau & Dalhousie, but I also saw some choice D&D stuff at the other used bookstore on Rideau next to the Bytowne.
They're both pretty awesome for carrying D&D stuff, it seems. Ever since PDFs got canned by WotC, I've been meaning to go pick some old books up.

Nice find. LOL...the condition on the eBay one you linked is listed as "New". I'd go with "Abused", maybe. That think looks like Gollum has had it in its pocketses for a few thousand years.

I've looked again. Mine must be 6th edition because it has the red "collector's edition" splash on the box cover. Still, it's in great shape.

PlaY it! roll up some characters and play it with your family! It's like going to an antique motorcycle show and waiting around till after they they give out the trophies. ALL the guys start their bikes after that and you hear sounds that aren't heard by almost anyone in the world today (even if most of the dudes didn't ride their bikes there and they're just riding them to the trailer in the parking lot) it's like a time machine!

It's helped me figure out which printing something is in the past.

"Roll up some characters"? Whatever do you mean. Characters are generated through carefully balance point buy mechanics is there another ... flips through rulebook Oh Dear LORD! That's madness!!

Thanks. I'm absolutely sure I've got 6th edition of the white box.
Funny, I even told the woman in the used bookstore that she could probably sell it on E-bay for 20 times the price but she didn't care. So I bought it.
