Fiddler's Cave

Savage Tide Adventure Path

Liberty's Edge

Hey, did anybody ever do anything with Fiddler's Cave in and/or around Sasserine? It was a little throwout in a Dragon Sasserine article.

Liberty's Edge

Does anybody have this forum section open even?

Probably not. Savage Tide is getting a little passe.

(No offense meant, just sayin')

Liberty's Edge

So what are you sayin?
J.K. I can dig it.

Me!

I just started DMing this AP are we're 3 sessions in. The players are really digging it. I'm curious about Fiddler's cave as well. Hell, anything from that particular Dragon article. regional encounters are full of win.

I didn't do anything with Fiddler's Cave, but I prepped a side quest to Evermire which I set up to be a plot line to continue after the STAP has been completed. Let me know if you want info on that.

I guess I'm a little passe then

Hell yeah! I'm in this brainstorm place; anything could be potentially really interesting...

And Steve Greer did something with the Dungeon of Iron and Fire, or whatever it was called. I vaguely recall he posted a whole writup, though it was, like, years ago.

...Back when this was a hip joint for hepcats (and other marsupials).

Didn't War of the Wielded feature the Dungeon of Iron and Fire? Did Steve Greer do something different with it?

War of the Wielded was set in the caverns below the rusty Tower. Yes Greer did a seperate sidequest involving the tower itself. It is in the Archive and many people added what the did with the other areas from that same article.

You can probably find it in the archives. I think it would have had "around sasserine" in the title.

Personally I added the stone crocodile head/monolith to an island on the ships way to the Isle of Dread cause it, like the rest of the article, was just too cool to ignore.

From Sasserine to the Abyss - found it!
And it's Dungeon of Rust and Fire - oops. I haven't reread everything but I remember him posting the whole plan somewhere, not just in the Story Hour.

Edit - found it:
Link to outline

Thanks Carborundum. I'll check it out

I read the notes and the journal entry, and it occurs to me that perhaps this dungeon was too hard for that party. Which in sandbox style is perfectly legit.

Yeah, I love that sort of thing. Why should everywhere you stumble into be perfectly balanced for you to trash?
Let's face it, who hasn't walked into the wrong room once or twice and crept v-e-r-y quietly back out again? :-)
