Theren charges across the room and slashes at Morthalet.

Theren's charge is mighty, but not quite mighty enough. Morthalat stares down at him as the avenger hurtles towards him and waggles an admonitory finger.

"Stop doing that."

In the midst of what must be their death throes, S2 hacks once more at Lurean.

As inexorable as his deity, Tavar divine light wounds Morthalat, only his insubtantiality saving the sorrowsworn from much greater injury.

Hmmm. Genryu appears to have done 223 damage to the engine...

In a flurry of attacks that are almost too fast to see, Genryu mallets the gnomish artifact into the ground, sending cogwheels and small but vital components all over the area.

Morthalat's jaw drops in horror as the what's left of the engine rebels against this brutal treatment and send blasts of eldritch feebback shrieking into Genryu, Lavender and S1.

The sorrowsworn's scream matches the engine's own as he watches the work of weeks nearly demolished by the warden's maul.

With a clonk, the engine goes back to work and sends more power into the surrounding pylons.

"Have you any concept of the value of that artifact! Barbarians!"

Eldritch Feedback (Ref). On hit, target is stunned TENT. Genryu, Lavender, S1 (1d20+33=49, 1d20+33=52, 1d20+33=48). Hits all of them.
Eldritch Feedback (damage). On hit, target is stunned TENT. (4d6+8=23). 23 lightning damage to Genryu, Lavender and S1. All stunned to end of their next turns.

Save v ongoing (1d20=15). On the plus side, the Engine did save against the first batch of ongoing damage...

Lavender is unable to do anything whatever with two stuns from the same cantankerous machine in one round, so I'm moving along to Lam.

Lam's attack just bloodies Morthalat, who shakes his head at the converging companions.

"You really have no idea what you're dealing with, do you. Idiots."

S1 can do nothing. The flock is stunned by the eldritch power of the engine.

The remnants of S1 flock towards Tavar and Theren, preparing to stab at the warriors as they consider their next moves.

Morthalat himself swings at Theren and disappears, only to reappear, still insubstantial, some distance away. The scythe bites deep.

"I'm not your enemy, I'm just trying to get that bloody engine to do its job."

Reap and Fade v Theren (AC). Necrotic and psychic damage (1d20+32=51, 4d10+9=24). 24hp damage to Theren.

Fluttering in their death throes, the ravens nonetheless manage to land some effective blows on the avenger.
Aura effect attack on Theren (Ref) (1d20+30=33, 3d8+4=20). 20hp damage to Theren. 44 total damage this round.

Theren has limited access at the moment, but if he doesn't show up by morning, I'll roll for him.

Theren swats contemptuously at the fluttering ravens, decimating them and moves towards Morthalat. As he approaches, he adds a hunter's mark of doom to the Oath of Emnity already glowing above the sorrowsworn.

Wiped out S2, moved within 2 of Morthalat (to avoid taking the aura daze at the start of his next turn) and plonked his Hunter's Quarry on Morthalat as a minor.

Tavar runs to Genyru's side, G13, and casts Cure Serious on him. Genryu regains HP equal to two healing surges +8.

"Not to worry friend as long as I am here your wounds won't keep you from battle".

Increasing the power of his mantle, Lurean moves toward the machine and encourages his companions to join him. "Bring the machine down!"

Lurean hurtles towards the prone engine and smashes it into the ground. A final outburst of eldritch feedback shrouds him, along with Tavar and the already wounded Genryu.

Eldritch feedback (Ref). On hit target takes 4d6+8 lightning damage and is stunned to the end of its next turn. v Lurean, Genryu, Tavar (1d20+33=36, 1d20+33=51, 1d20+33=45). Hits all of you.

Genryu briefly loses consciousness, but Tavar is on hand to invoke his deity and guide the ancient warden back to the lands of the living.

Morthalat frothes impotently as he sees the engine demolished.

"You fools. You have no respect for my work, or the antiquity of the engine. This will go hard for you."

Genryu is stunned. He can update his hp status of course, but I'm moving on to Lavender.

Lavender, shaking off the effects of the feedback, re-orients. Seeing Morthalat insubstantial, he ignores his own injuries to target the engineer. Perhaps unfortunatley, as his aim is poor.

The feedback from the pile of cogwheels that was once the engine must have stunned Lavender more than he knew. His attack does nothing.

Lam decides that the best thing he can do is move to a more central position, ready to catch Morthalat or the ravens as they pass.

The ravens rise cawing into the air and circle over the seal to flap and stab at the wounded warden. The paladin swipes valiantly at them as they pass by him.

Swiping at Theren, he moves next to Lavender and smile benignly at the deva. "I do believe you are responsible for starting the destruction of my work. Strangely, I feel impelled to kill you. Did none of your many lives teach you how dangerous it is to interfere with eldritch machinery or its operators?" As he halts, his form solidifies.

Lav's armour pushes the sorrowsworn back a step, but the deva cannot feel out of danger.

Theren advances with menace in his eyes, hoping to move Morthalat to a more advantageous position. His blow bounces off the blackened armour of his foe. Morthalat's benign smile remains unmoving.

The ravens sweep a pecking arc at Lurean, Tavar and Genryu as the companions cluster stunned around the wreck of the Engine.

All the heroes are starting to suffer as Lam trudges gamely towards Morthalat and misses.

"Silly dwarf. You people have no appreciation of gnomish craftsmanship." Morthalat still grieves for the loss of the engine.

The ravens attempt to wreck more havoc, flapping wildly at Tavar and earning an approving comment from Morthalat.

"They're learning, don't you think?"

Morthalat winces visibly as the fullblade strikes home, leaving an unpleasant gaping wound in his side.

The pestilential ravens swarm over Lurean again, adding to his woes.

Tavar - I've taken the liberty of shifting you back one before launching your Lance of Faith. I'm guessing you didn't want to provoke an OA from the ravens. Also, can you let me know who benefits from the +2 to attack rolls?

Tavar backs away and hurls the Raven Queen's light at the flocking birds, causing more to fall. Lurean's irritation vents itself in a mighty blow which slices through beak and feather, much to his satisfaction.

Genryu is still close enough to suffer from the flapping, squawking mass.
