Shoanti question: Rites of adulthood

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Is it generally assumed that late teen-to-young adult 1st-level Shoanti PCs have already gone through their rites of passage?

Or do I need to go back to the Cinderlands to get my GED?

Totally up to your and your GM. If you both think that'd be a fun angle, going back to get your barbarian GED could be really fun adventure - if somewhat of a culture shock for your non-Shoanti companions. If neither of you want to deal with it, though, there's no problem with saying you did it already. Could make a need angle in your back story as well.

Silly Wes, you can't take tshamek to a Shoanti graduation ceremony.

Liberty's Edge

Sure you can! Every good party needs entertainment, and what is more fun than taunting, tormenting and bloodily executing the week waterlanders?

Thanks! I was really mainly wondering if it was the norm to assume it was already done, since it would affect my character's behavior. I don't think I'll have the opportunity to go back home during this campaign, so I'll just ask my GM if it's okay to assume she's already gone through her trials.

Without spoiling too much - YOU'RE SO COMING HOME, YOUNG LADY! ;)

Runs back to the IC thread and hides under her blanket

OH NO I MADE ONE OF THE LOWLANDER GODS ANGRY AND HE'S SHOUTING AND SCARY! :0

Spoiler:
I guess I'll take it to the OOC thread and avoid this one in case spoilers start popping up then. ;)
