Not meaning to threadjack CJ but here's another one.
Someone needs to stat-up that little guy. He'd make a cool familiar.
Come to think of it, stat them both. The big one looks like it would amount to being an aquatic Tarrasque.

I'm just thankful the modern oceans don't resemble the ancient oceans. There's no way you could go swimming without risking your life.

Cool but I would be more comfortable seeing an assessment of the pliosaurs bite force after more fossils are found and a more detailed reconstruction is done. Not saying the work that was done has any faults but estimates like this can potentially have a fair amount of room for error. Still some very cool finds though!

Hmm not just pliosaurs, but icthyosaurs, mosasaurs and in the cenozoic, potentially Basilosaurus (actually an ancient whale despite the name) and Carcharodon megalodon to worry about. Still it would have been amazing if we could have seen these beasts alive (from a safe distance of course)
