Microlite20

Has anyone actually played this system? If so, what was your experience? I'm especially interested in those who played it using 3.x adventures.

Microlite20 is a free role-playing game containing character generation, combat and rules for magic, monsters and level advancement. We have ripped the guts out of d20 leaving just the essence of the game. Skills are much simplified, there are no feats and combat is as simple as it gets.

I was interested, till it said no feats, might be simple but so is tick tack toe.

I have not actually tried it. I thought it looked interesting and would be great for a pick up game.

I haven't yet but I'm itching to! I think it would make for a great intro game but I think it will really shine for PbP. Since it's rules lite, you can focus on roleplaying...

Fake Healer hinted at starting a PbP (HERE) and I think we should all encourage him!

After skimming the rules, I find them very interesting. Some of them are things I already incorporated into my homebrew, but I'm keeping many of the 3.5OGL rules. I think this would be great for a quick game, however.

Add me to the "interested, but never played it" club.

I downloaded all the supplements, and it's looks really interesting for new players or just a casual pickup game, for maybe out of town trips or whatnot.

Mostly, I would really like to use it to teach new and or younger players(my daughter, for example), without scaring them off with the books and rules of the full game.

I played a microlite game of Thieves' World at a con. Lots of fun if people are cool with a lot of common sense ruling rather rules lawyering. Would be a good intro for new players, but the lack of rules might be hard for them as they don't have as much experience to just wing it.
