The Great Beyond Cover inspiration?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Is this cover image supposed to remind me of Jeff Grub's Manual of the Planes with Rowan Darkwood and the Astral Dreadnought?

Because it does.

And that is very promising.

If it does, it's not on purpose, but excellent! I've always loved that original cover to the 1st edition Manual of the Planes, and when we created the art order for this book, that image was probably floating at the back of my mind. It wasn't provided to Wayne as reference, though, and the end result is pretty different in several ways, but pleasingly similar in others. So I guess, in that one of Golarion's biggest influences for the outer planes is the Great Wheel, it's cool that it reminds you of one of the best 1st edition books ever! :)
