This show airs Sundays at 9 PM. Centered around a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf who are all flat-mates, it's better than I thought It would be (it was branded as dramatic comedy, but I thought it came off very serious with some well-timed moments of comic relief).
The story is interesting and the writing is pretty good, too. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Slightly off-topic follows:
Without any of these though--and even with them--I'd be more than happy to pay the same license fee, even with a Foreign Viewer Tax, if it meant I could receive access to standard quality current programming. Personally, I'd be willing to pay even more for HD access. But I watch and enjoy more BBC content than anything else, and I have no idea if I'm part of a small or large demographic. I've recently written the BBC with this idea. Unfortunately, it might be too costly to implement--a cost to be footed by the British public, or drawn from licensing income, which is still the monies of the UK citizen.

I actually like the vampire from the pilot over the one in the series.
It is like there has been 8 eps already... they go for nearly an hour.. a good 55 mins.
I like this show but it seems to beginning to repeat itself... like going around and around in circles.
That's one of the nice things about most BBC programs--they're not advertisement-dependent, so you get almost a full hour--and a couple of episodes of Spooks ran around 62 minutes.
I haven't noticed any repetition at all, though. If anything, I feel like the arc is advancing a little too fast. I also missed the pilot last year, so maybe that's it.

I have to say it picked up in 5 and 6.
Why is BBC doing such short series? Demons was good as well but only 5 hour eps.
They really need to do more eps.
*Shrugs* I think it comes down to budget. Being human, despite being brillient, is a nique programe. There for they have only short series, so they can judge interest from series to series. The upshot is that we don't get the firefly effect here. Things don't get cancelled half way through, they just run for one whole series.

Six episodes is the average length for a British TV series (or it always was, anyway; I haven't watched much TV recently). As Zombieneighbours said, budget is probably part of the reason, but I think it's also because British TV series are usually written by just one or two people, whereas US series are often written by committees and/or by different people each episode. So an individual writer probably writes about the same number of episodes per year on average.
I'm sure there are plenty of exceptions to this, but I think it's generally true.
