How big are the envelopes you use to send a single adventure path with?

I'm looking into Packstations since I'm almost never at home at the time the mail arrives (and since I live alone in this appartment, no one else is, either), but packages need to be at least 15x11x1 cm (5.9x4.3x0.4 ") in order to be elegible for packstation shipping.

I'm pretty sure the packages easily meet those requiremnets for height and length, but I'm not sure about depth/thickness - I think they're a bit thinner.

They're about 9.75" x 12.25", and with a single AP volume inside, about .25" thick.

Damn, that's too thin.

Do you (or anyone else here) know of anyone who has tried getting his PF subscriptions sent to Packstations? I'm not sure what happens to the package if they're too small - according to the page, some shipments are sent to the home address or the nearest post office, others are sent back - which isn't a good option.

To be honest, I've never heard the word "Packstation" before.

But as a subscriber to multiple product lines, I'd think just doing monthly shipments would solve your problem. You should pretty much always get a box instead of an envelope, I'd think...

They're parcel pickup stations you can have sent packages to instead of your home. As soon as the package arrives there, you get notified by email and/or SMS and can pick it up any time. They even support COD.

Since I recently moved and now have one of those around (within a mile or two instead of within 20 or so) I thought I'd give them a try, since I'm at work when the mailman or DHL comes around, so instead of waiting until the next day to pick up the stuff from the post office, I could pick them up on my way home.

I don't know: My last shipment (PF #17, Osirion, Guide to Absalom) arrived in an envelope.

Kae'Yoss, I have tried (and failed) in getting my AP subscriptions sent to a Packstation. It would probably work if you had lots of subscriptions and chose the option that would hold shipping for as long as possible, thus increasing package volume (but also shipping cost and taxes (Umsatzeinfuhrsteuer und Zölle)).

While thinner packages are always delivered by Deutsche Post, DHL is handling the larger ones. And only DHL uses packstations, so ... it figures.

Thanks for the heads up.

It's how I feared. I guess I'll have to stick to regular shipping and always wait a day longer to be able to pick up stuff from the post office.
