Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I love the young Seelah on today's blog, a great nod to her backstory!

Thanks for the excellent fan service yet again guys!

I'm looking forward to legacy of fire all the more now!

Scarab Sages

You might want to rephrase that!

'Fan-service' has a much more common definition, these days!
One not usually associated with paladins, except in WoW!

(Made me look, though...very nice art)

Silver Crusade

Awesome! Will this reference to Seelah's past be in the art only? Could we wind up seeing similar "shots" of the other characters before they began their careers or is this more of a one-off deal?

Spoiler:
I suppose a young, obviously traumatized Kyra standing amidst the remains of her slaughtered brethren might be a bit much...

Seltyiel and Sajan's childhood pics probably wouldn't be a barrel of laughs either.

Yeah, guess it depends on what circles you're using the word in. Some use it exclusively to mean "Heeeello Nurse!" while others use it for anything that could be a shoutout to attentive fans(cameos, gratuitous inclusion of fan-favorite elements, etc.)

For 'shout-outs' I'm more used to the term 'easter eggs.'

Fan service, to my mind, is entirely the 'hello nurse.'

Dark Archive

I remember it more along the lines of 'Hellooooooooo nurse !'

The Iconics as pre teens. In a 0 level module. Let's get to it team !

Scarab Sages

bombastic intro-guy voice...

"Twelve teenagers, acting as one...!!!!"

Seoni has to have a yo-yo attack!

Lem's catchphrase could be "Bbrrrt-oot, princess!"

Karzoug in pink lipstick, piloting a mountain-sized mecha.

{EDIT}: Eleven teenagers, with Ezren being their moustaschioed, fatherly mentor...Chief Ezrason!

I keep trying to imagine how it would work out but I keep mentally ripping off The Goonies. And sometimes Monster Squad.

...

Dear Paizo,

I am sending two movies to your office. Please watch them each twice before brainstorming for your next Pathfinder module. A five dollar bill is included in the package.

Just saying.

edit-Alternately, I'd be down with a fantasy Ferris Beuller's Day Off or Breakfast Club too.

Wow, they'd be awesome, like Pathfinder's answer to the teen titans!

Tho, merisiel and harsk would appear almost the same age, reality can be discontinued in lieu of awesomeness!

Just like how it should be!

Screw realism. They'll all be there and they'll all be pre-teens. Perhaps they reprogrammed the Armageddon Echo or something.

Wow, with drow supervillains! This would be an awesome comic!

ROFLMAO!!!

Incidently, have you seen they are doing a Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets) CG Movie?

Heh, that reminds me, has any single anime ever had so many different interpretations?

Robotech maybe.

Originally it was three totally different Japanese Anime that were collected together and rewritten as three seperate chapters of the one story for the American market.

While Masters and New Generation are OK, Macross Saga (the first Chapter) is truly amazing! I haven't seen Shadow Chronicles yet (it was made a few years ago as a sequal of sorts to the TV Series).

And back to Gatchaman for even more threadjacky goodness: I have head (although not confirmes) that Keop was actually a foul mouthed little swear-a-holic in the original Japanese Anime. They weren't sure exactly how to trnslate & rewrite his lines, so they just gave him that weird little chirping thing instead.

I've heard that same rumor. I have no idea how true it is, but now I find myself thinking of him as the 'Kenny' of the group, always saying utterly shocking things that the audience can't understand...

Liberty's Edge

Ah, yes, Robotech, the bastard child of three unrelated series! I actually did pick up a copy of The Shadow Chronicles a while back. Its okay. The sole purpose seems to be bringing a conclusion to the occupation of Earth, while simultaneously adding a new enemy to base further series off of.

Calistria's smiling face appears on the TV set.

"I work for no man fleshbag".

"Soon all of your race will be extinct, starting with you..."

Suddenly the stereo starts playing Celine Dion as loud as it can and your ears start to bleed from the horror.

err.. actually I might be a bit ashamed of this fact... but I like Celin Dion... *shots the TV with a sight, then the stereo... just in case it plans on something more grotesque*

As long as Keop is Keop, and not whatever he was in the later rescripted stuff...

Another uprising of the machines. We've been filing complaints about this for years now, but no matter how many firmware updates they put out, none fix the rebellion problem.

Time to call Magnetic Man! Let's see how menacing the machines are when the magnetic waves turn them into folk singers!

hey I am Neutral Good!... I am just like Saranrae in the idea that people can be reedemed... even Dion's music...

that or I have weird tastes :P and considering some of the music in the North of my country and 3 times damned RDB... believe me one becomes invulnerable to such music

Given your comments on 'that' thread, I thought THIS would be one of your favourites...

I had a look at the original and her blood red eyes strike me as ecstatic rather than innocent.

And now I begin to understand how paladins ever become blackguards.

Yeah. Power isn't really that much of a reason there. Mostly it's lust for unearthly pleasures. That's the number two reasons for paladins to fall from grace.

Numer one is me aggravating them until they lose their composure.
