Okay--two things: The first, a question. Second a supplication.
So, I'm find information about Cailean's Ascension day a little confusing, can someone help clear it up? In the Campaign Setting it looks like the day falls on the 11 of Kuthona [p239] (roughly, Dec 11)... but in Gods and Magic it says it is "... held on the first day of the year in honor of Cayden becoming a God" [p11]
Now, please know, gentle reader that I'm not pointing this out to be a stickler, rather my *sole* interest is to know which day to throw a serious party ... to perhaps achieve some modicum of ascension of myself :-)
So, with that--on to the supplication: fellow pathfinders, if we can settle this, let us propose toasts and cheer on this day to friends near and far, to friends both dear and unmet! Athbhliain faoi mhaise duit!

i agree
while general celebration would be 11 Dec, the church might have an special day 1st dayof the year... as most other religions about other subjects
i think Cayden would have his own Guadalupe-Reyes those days
Cultural Note: In Mexico December 12 is celebrated: Virgen de Guadalupe (very important day for many Catholics in Mexico), January 6 is day when the 3 Wisemen who gifted Jesus when he was born are celebrated, sort of like Saints, children get toys and other prescents similar as how they get in 25 from Santa Claus.
Maraton Guadalupe Reyes... is what lots of people call the many celebrations held in Mexico around those days, beginning with the Celebration of Virgen Maria, Posadas, Christmas, New Year Eve and then Reyes Magos(Wisemen)... well... in general are very busy days full of party and toasts (and running rivers of liquor of corse) so i see Cayden very very very like that in such days
of coruse not all families are like this, but most people are invited to at least lot of parties in such dayes even if they are just with family and close friends.

Lilith wrote:Cayden loves a good party. Celebrate on both days. Kampai! How about this--to take a queue from the gracious Lilith *and* heed Montalve's example ... perhaps we celebrate continuously from Dec 11 to Jan 1. Granted, we've already missed the start of Ascension Day, but really, WWCCD?
sounds like a hell of a Party... the God of PArties will be proud :P
