Unless you drink beer or follow rodeo there is N-O-T-H-I-N-G out here. Its an hour drive to the nearest Wal-Mart and three hours to the nearest "local" game store.

El Paso for the gaming store, I guess?
Midland. Astral Castle. With local traffic in El Paso, probably 3-1/2 hours. I haven't actually been to any in El Paso to know if they're worth the trip.
As it is, I only hit Midland when we are up there on other business.
There is (or at least was) a store in San Angelo. But we rarely get over there.

Astral Castle. I've been there! My gf is from Odessa, and I bought her a couple of sets of dice from that shop.
I didn't realize Midland/Odessa was that close to Alpine.
Of course, I think Texas is one of the few places that would consider 180+ miles "close"...
