The folds in my brain are starting to smooth out.

Unless you drink beer or follow rodeo there is N-O-T-H-I-N-G out here. Its an hour drive to the nearest Wal-Mart and three hours to the nearest "local" game store.

El Paso for the gaming store, I guess?

Midland. Astral Castle. With local traffic in El Paso, probably 3-1/2 hours. I haven't actually been to any in El Paso to know if they're worth the trip.

As it is, I only hit Midland when we are up there on other business.

There is (or at least was) a store in San Angelo. But we rarely get over there.

Astral Castle. I've been there! My gf is from Odessa, and I bought her a couple of sets of dice from that shop.

I didn't realize Midland/Odessa was that close to Alpine.

Of course, I think Texas is one of the few places that would consider 180+ miles "close"...

I moved to EP this past year, and haven't found a group yet. Mostly 'cause of work. Here is one group site if your looking for a game. http://dnd.meetup.com/1116/calendar/9333532/?a=cv1c_grp

I can't believe there's no one out here but me.....

Just seeing this thread makes me think of playing a game at a table in La Kiva in Terlingua, but sadly I'm 10 hours from there.

Texas gamers, how about we arrange a small extreme gaming retreat in Big Bend? That'd rock.
