This came up at our PFS event last night, and instigated a animated discussion.
If a character buys a masterwork greatsword now, can he later have that sword enchanted, foregoing the cost of the masterwork sword and just paying the enchantment cost? Or would he have to buy the whole thing all over again?
They want to know if they can invest in their weapon now, or if they're better off just saving up for that shiny new +1 weapon.

They can invest in their weapon now and pay the difference when it comes time to make that mwk weapon a +1 weapon.
