Male Human Fighter 8, Ranger 3

Looking very angry indeed, Kelne attempts to return the favour, skewering the archer with his sword.

Attack: (1d20+4=22), damage: (1d8+3=4)

female Elf Paladin 2

Tessirda swiftly looked around the corner, and found the stairs as crowded as they had been. As soon as she found an opening she could exploit, she made her way up the stairs as well.

Uzés and Zavos are up

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Sorry, I was waiting for the bowman.

Zavos moves to where he can see the foe D3?, gestures and speaks a word of power, and the bowman feels his mind start to cloud.

Daze. Will save DC 13

You're right, he goes before you, my mistake. But its ok to post out of order anyway, I will do my best to resolve all the actions for the rounds. Since conditions are so crowded at the moment I'll just assume Uzés takes no action.

Kelne manages to wound the bowman with a slash of his sword, who grunts in pain. He then withdraws around the corner and through a door, but not before Zavos' spell hits him.

Round 2:

Initiative:
Zindit: 24 Prone.
Kelne: 20
Uzés: 17
Tessirda: 16
Bowman: 13 Dazed
Zavos: 8
Amyunet: 7

>>Map<<

With no room to make it up the stairs, Uzes delays for an opportunity to rush up to help.

FYI guys, there is another door directly opposite the one Kelne went it (behind Zavos on the map). Not sure if you want to split your forces, but it is an option

Female Gnome Rogue 1

Zindit quickly scrambled to her feet, pressing against the wall to let the others pass freely without trampling over her. She was clearly upset at her failure to prove her worth to the priestesses, but she looked back to the other door, thinking it might be best to head around.

Standing up is still a move action, so I can't do anything else this round, right?

You can take another move action or a standard action.

I can't get to the map right now, but in that case she'll run for the other door, and if she doesn't spot any other dangers she'll make her way to the bowman the long way around. She's mainly going to be checking for other attackers hiding out of sight.

Zindit runs over to the other door and opens it. Another flight of stairs ascends to the second story, and like the other set of stairs there is a man with with a bow waiting on the top landing.

He shoots, but the arrow glances off Zindit and does no damage.

Kelne then Uhz next

Male Human Fighter 8, Ranger 3

Not being minded to offer a chance for the so-and-so to surrender, Kelne pursues, launching another slash at his backpedaling opponent.

Attack: (1d20+4=18), Damage: (1d8+3=9)

Female Human (Osiriani - Garundi) Cleric 2

When it's Amunyet's turn again, she calls out "Kelne! How badly are you hurt?" If Kelne's response indicates he needs help, Amunyet will use a channel energy, making sure to exclude the bowman from the burst (channel (1d6=5)). Otherwise, she continues up the stairs, drawing her scimitar and hefting her shield as she goes.

Uzes moves over to the dor the Zindit opened and runs up to the archer at the top of the stairs. He trips on his way up and almost ends up flat on his face.

atk, dmg (1d20+2=3, 1d6+2=4)

Kelne pursues his retreating foe and drops him at the doorway with a well-placed slash of his sword. Uzés rushes up the stairs past Zindit and stumbles over a step just as he is taking a swing at the bowman on the landing, who then drops his bow and draws a rapier.

Tessirda and Zavos

New Map

The guy at c9 is down

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Hoping to disable another foe, Zavos casts Hideous Laughter at the guard looming over Uhz, then races to the top of the stairs near Kelne.

Will save DC14, or prone and unable to act for 1 round. Move to D7

Male Human Fighter 8, Ranger 3

"I could use some healing, yes," Kelne admits, spinning to face the combatants behind him.

The thug behind Kelne stabs at him with a shortsword and draws blood 3 hp damage. The guy behind the one who stabbed Kelne throws a crate at him. It hits Kelne and bursts apart (no damage), and a cat-sized scorpion falls out of it at Kelne's feet. A warm wave of positive energy then washes over Kelne healing 5 hp, the downed thug is excluded.

On the other front, the man at the top of the stairs falls to the floor laughing hilariously at Zavos's joke.

Tessirda can still take a round 2 action.

Round 3:

Zindit: 24
Kelne: 20
Uzés: 17
Tessirda: 16
Thugs: 13
Scorpion: 10
Zavos: 8
Amunyet: 7

Round 3 Map

With better footing, Uzes manages to connect twice with his opponent.

flurry (1d20=16, 1d6+2=7, 1d20=15, 1d6+2=4)

At least I think he connects...

You connect, your opponent is prone which gives him a -4 to AC.

female Elf Paladin 2

Uhm... Tessirda is still downstairs? Ok, then she tries to somehow make her way upstairs and out of total irrelevance this turn

Tessirda wrote:

Sorry, I should have been a little more clear about that. Go ahead and post your round 2 actions and I will update the map (and round 3 actions while you're at it).

female Elf Paladin 2

Tessirda followed Kelne up the stairs as quickly as she could, and when he called out for aid, she hissed "We can trade places if you need" before hacking at one of his opponents with her curveblade.

Round 2: Ascend the stairs, following Kelne. Round 3 holding my move action to maybe switch position with Kelne, and attack one of his attackers, if possible. Attack roll is 1d20+4 → [16,4] = (20) that might be enough even for an enemy with cover

Female Human (Osiriani - Garundi) Cleric 2

Amunyet will follow Zindit up the back stairs, with her scimitar drawn.

Female Gnome Rogue 1

Zindit wanted to call out for Uzes to come back down, to lure the men out into open space, but she also wanted to prove her worth to Amunyet.

Acrobatics to move through the two thugs to B1:
1st Thug: 18
2nd Thug: 21

And if she's able:

She slashed at the first of the thugs' legs that she could reach.

Melee Attack: 18
Damage: 2

Male Human Fighter 8, Ranger 3

Deciding that cat-sized scorpions are by no means a good thing, Kelne hacks at the cursed creature. Being poisoned would be simply perfect.

Attack: 1d20+4=17, Damage: 1d8+3=4

Zindit jumps over the laughing thug, then slips by the next one. She then stabs that one in the leg drawing blood. The thug, whos is just a boy, then shrieks like he is dying and drops to the floor. "Please don't kill me!"

Uzés stomps on the laughing thug's head, knocking him unconscious, and Amunyet moves up to a position behind Uzés.

On the other front, Kelne skewers the scorpion, killing it.

Tessirda moves up the stairs to the landing and a slashes the thug facing Kelne. He blow is awkward because of the intervening corner of the landing, but she cuts her opponent anyway. He then shrieks "There's too many!" and backs away. "Balston, you f*+*ing mook" says the one behind him, a hulking half-orc with a swollen left eye, as he steps forward and swings a morningstar expertly at at Kelne, danking him right on the head (9 damage, Kelne is down).

Zavos.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Zavos casts Cure Light Wounds while behind cover, and reaches around the wall to aid Kelne.

1d8+1=2 hp

Zavos's healing awakens Kelne, but he is still badly injured (at 0 hp and disabled, I believe).

Round 4:

Zindit: 24
Kelne: 20 disabled
Uzés: 17
Tessirda: 16
Thug: 13
Zavos: 8
Amunyet: 7

There are two conscious opponents you can see, the boy begging for his life (at C1) and the large morningstar-weilding half-orc (at C7).

Round 4 Map

female Elf Paladin 2

Tessirda raised her blade over her head, and tried to chop down the half-orc as she had done with the other thug, but this time she misjudged her swing quite badly, and dug the blade deeply into the wooden frame that partially obscured her vision.

Tessirda:

Spoiler:
Not only that, but she felt a strange force tugging the sword toward her breastplate, which also affected her swing.

Female Gnome Rogue 1

Once confronted with someone possibly weaker than herself, Zindit was usually quick to press the advantage, but something about the boy begging for his life brought her unpleasant memories to the forefront of her mind. Peeking down the hallway, she saw where the real fight was taking place, and reached down to try and grab the boy's arm, attempting to pull him out of the way so that the others could join in the fight without trampling him.

It would not do to have a child's blood on her hand in front of Amunyet and Tessirda. I'm not that kind of person I'm not that kind of person I'm not

Attempting to pull the boy to B1. I'm not sure what exact rolls are needed for this though.

He complies readily enough.

Female Human (Osiriani - Garundi) Cleric 2

Amunyet moves to C2, keeping an eye on the boy, but letting Uzes get through to the half-orc.

I'm going to hold off on posting the rest of my turn until I see what else happens this round, since I go last anyway.

female Elf Paladin 2

Tessirda would have stopped, startled, if it had been an option. But the battle was ongoing, and she could wonder about it in due time. She just ripped the blade from the wood, and chopped at the half-orc again.

1d20+6 → [15,6] = (21) - assuming i get +2 from flanking, otherwise 19

Uzes moves past the boy towards the nearest opponent.

not sure if I can get into an attack position from here or if it just requires movement. Will attack once if he can make it.

You can do a double move and attack next round.

Actually, I have Kelne still at -1.

The half-orc steps over the unconscious Kelne and takes a vicious swing at Tessirda with the morningstar. The blow is wild, and the morningstar crashes into the wall. Tessirda returns in kind, and her blow hits, and the half-orc grunts in pain but does not go down. (I used your second roll for your attack of opportunity. Go ahead and roll damage.)

You hear voices and a dog barking coming from around the corner.

"Knuckles, Gar, to me! They are here!"

Uzes, if you move to C6:

Spoiler:
You see the ragged beggar with a knife drawn, a dog, and another man (the one who ran) down the hall.

Round 4 (cont):

Zindit: 24, dragged boy to B1
Kelne: 20, unconcious
Uzés: 17, move to c6?
Tessirda: 16, swing and miss, swing and hit with aoo
Half orc: 13, move to C8, swing and miss
Zavos: ?
Amunyet: 7, move to C2 + ?

Map

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

As his foe is too close to risk casting a spell, Zavos draws his rapier and attacks.

Attack on Half-Orc (1d20=19)
Roll to confirm crit (1d20=11)
Damage if 19 is a hit (1d6=2)

Female Human (Osiriani - Garundi) Cleric 2

With Kelne still down and just barely within the 30' burst, Amunyet unleashes another burst of positive energy channel energy 1d6 = 5. She takes care to exclude the half-orc in C8 and the down man in D1 (the down man in C9 is out of range).

Zavos strikes at the half-orc, but he too feels a strange attraction of his rapier to the morningstar, which throws off his strike just enough to cause him to miss. Amunyet sends another healing wave Kelne's way, who then rouses to consciousness.

Round 5:

Zindit: 24
Kelne: 20, prone
Uzés: 17
Tessirda: 16
Thugs and dog: 13
Zavos: 8
Amunyet: 7

Round 5 map

Female Human (Osiriani - Garundi) Cleric 2

Wow ... Zavos's 19 missed the half-orc? That's a bit nerve-wracking ...

I noticed the red markings are off the guy at D1 ... is he back up?

Uzes attacks the dog that rushes him.

atk, dmg, flurry (1d20=7, 1d6+2=3, 1d20=14, 1d6+2=3)

He had +4 bonus to AC from cover. Ooops, I forgot to add the red marks again; those guys are still down.

Male Human (Varisian) Bard 1

Yeah, I expected that it would miss. Looking forward to having a BAB. :) (and I can also take Finesse)
