My players never killed Elyrium

Rise of the Runelords

Nor did they ever destroy the runewell under Sandpoint.

They're now finishing up "the Misgivings" and will soon be leaving Sandpoint.

What will Elyrium do? What will happen to the runewell? Should I drop some hints that they need to go back and deal with this loose end, or not?

My understanding is that the adventure comes back to the same dungeon later on.

The book suggests that you should have some sinspawn emerge from beneath the glassworks, and use that to get them to investigate.

She escaped from my group too. In her battle she was shaken to see the pool dim. The PC's didn't deal with the pool either. I decided her dedication to Lamashtu urges her to replentish the pools power. Imagine the PC's anger returning to Sandpoint after Thistletop to find there have been many murders, with a tiny dagger...
