I've lived in Orange County for a few years now, but I'm looking to expand which game stores I visit. I've been hunting for out-of-print books, but I've mined my usual haunts dry. The two stores I mostly frequent are Comic Quest in Lake Forest and Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove. I also frequent Game Empire (which is an excellent store) in San Diego when I get a chance.
So does anyone know of any good stores I should check out in the area? I remember there used to be a good one in Fullerton, but I don't remember where it is.

Give The Last Grenadier a try. It's located at:
820 N Hollywood Way
Burbank, CA 91505
(818) 848-9144
Granted, it's not in the OC, but it is a great game store and worth the drive...
Also, The War House, located at:
630 W Willow St.
Long Beach, CA 90806
(562) 424-3180
Never been to that one myself, but I hear they focus on miniatures (hence the name I suppose)...
Then there is, Pegasus Hobbies at:
5515 Moreno St
Montclair, CA 91763
(909) 982-6507
Have not been to this store either, but it comes highly recommended by my FLGS...
A little closer to the OC (but still outside) we have...
GMI Games
8300 Limonite Avenue, Suite F
Riverside, CA 92509
(951) 681-8270
Adventurers Guild of Riverside (AGR)
6940 Indiana Ave
Riverside, CA 92506
(951) 782-9333
Hope this list helps...

Dice House Games in Fullerton
714.871.6494
(Probably will not find out of print books there as they are a new store.)
Gameology in Upland/Clarmont
909.626.6926
Mostly a boardgame shop. Boardgame days are the last Sat of the month. Play all day for $5 (might have the price wrong)
I play my CotCT game here.
Game Empire in Pasadena
(dont have the # on my cell...)
D&D Meetup every month. I think 1st Sat. but don't quote me.
GMI does have a good selection of books, but I am not sure if they have out of print stuff. (I've only been there twice.)
The Last Grenadier and War House would be your best bet for out of print stuff... they have boxes of stuff. (granted I haven't been to either in 3+ years.)
Third World Games in Torrance.

I checked out Dice House Games, they did have some older books. They must have some of the old store's stocks. I found a copy of Monte's Arcana Unearthed there.
Dear Mr. Fantazy was a nice little store, it had some good board games. The RPG section was a little thin, so I don't know if it was worth the drive for me.
Comic Quest is a great store. I snagged a copy of Green Ronin's Advanced Bestiary just the other day from their bargain bin.
Now I just need to find the time to hit Long Beach and LA.
