I've still two issues to go on Crimson Throne before I get to Second Darkness, but based on forum chatter about it, there are a couple things I was hoping y'all could clarify.
A) When the aboleth dropped a big, honkin' rock on Varisia, was that the cataclysm that destroyed Thasilon?
2) Are drow just from Varisia or are they a world-wide phenomenon?
Thanks, crew. I love the way Golarion is expanded with each issue of Pathfinder, but don't want to wait to find out the answers to these questions.

A) When the aboleth dropped a big, honkin' rock on Varisia, was that the cataclysm that destroyed Thasilon?
Not indirectly. Thassilon was already in decline when Earthfall occurred; the runelords likely forsaw Earthfall and went into stasis just before the event and Thassilon was in chaos when Earthfall hit. There were probably some other elements too. We haven't nailed down 100% officially what really caused the fall of Thassilon yet, though. So this could change or be adjusted later on...
2) Are drow just from Varisia or are they a world-wide phenomenon?
The Darklands extends throughout the world; the drow are MOSTLY an "Under Avistan" race though; there are a few under Garund and elsewhere in the world, but the vast majority are in cities all over the place under Avistan.
