I was looking through The Armageddon Echo this evening and I had athought. Wouldn't it be fun if the Winter Council had slowly become drow themselves and are using powerful illusion magic to hide the fact from the other eleves. Instead of wanting Allevrah destroyed because of the threat she poses, they want her out of the way so they can seize control of the drow and use them to subjegate the rest of the elven race. It creates a whole new dynamic in the campaign and allows for many more sub-plots, maybe even using magic to convince the PCs that a few uncorrupted members of the Winter Council are actually drow agents. What do you think?

I like it, and their tactics are in line with something like this.... BUT as there are 3 volumes to go it could easily throw alot of monkey wrenches in if it severly criipples something good later so you may end up making ALOT of extra work for yourself.... but by all means...
