October Superscriber Monthly Shipment

Customer Service

Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber; Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories, Starfinder Society Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber

What should I be expecting in my October monthly shipment?

It appears it could be:
The Hounds of Skaith
Pathfinder 14
Pathfinder 15
LB2
D4
Elves of Golarion
Gods and Magic

Are all of these included assuming Customs doesn't decide to read more Paizo stuff?

As my sidecart just expanded from two to six items, I guess the answer is mostly yes. Will Hounds of Skaith be shipping with it as well? I am actually starting The Swordsman of Mars on my bus trip to work tomorrow and it doesn't look thick enough to last till end of November.

Silver Crusade

This is what I have in my sidecart (ie current sub orders)

Preordered Products
Pathfinder #15—Second Darkness Chapter 3: "The Armageddon Echo" (OGL) Print Edition, expected November 2008
Pathfinder Module D4: Hungry Are the Dead (OGL) Print Edition, expected November 2008
Pathfinder Chronicles: Gods & Magic (OGL) Print Edition, expected November 2008
Pathfinder Companion: Elves of Golarion (OGL) Print Edition, expected November 2008

of course I got

Pf 14 & Treasure of Chimera Cove earlier this month. So it looks like your accurate.

Yeah the "expected November" is what has me worried. Suddenly stuff from September won't be shipping until November now along with the October stuff. Does that mean that it will then wait for the November stuff and be this monstrous order that will bring the plane down en route and bankrupt a small nation?

Silver Crusade

with the custom delay is has I think bunked up allot of things for Paizo. I wasn't expecting a double module order for this month & such. Hopefully, those won't happen very often (double subscription items).

As I've said before & I'm pretty sure people are getting tired of it, but the gaming budget can only go so far. Love Paizo products, but damn they put a hurtin on the wallet some months!!

Planet Stories books come from a different printer, so Hounds of Skaith isn't in same shipping container as the other stuff. So, we have PF 15, D4, Elves of Golarion and Gods and Magic scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but Hounds of Skaith isn't expected until the last days of the month. Thus, if you're a Planet Stories subscriber holding for a monthly shipment, or holding for Planet Stories, your shipment won't be going out just yet.

That's a display bug—we're showing you the retail release date there, not the "ships to subscriber" date. All that stuff is expected tomorrow, and most subscribers should have shipments going out by the end of the week (except as noted in my previous post).

So if I change my subscription status to not wait for PS, then my stuff will ship within the next week?

If I was to do this, would I get everything (but Hounds of Skaith) if I chose the "Hold to ship with PF AP" option?

To be honest, I'm not sure how that would be handled if you made that change yourself right now. (Gary knows such things, though.) The safest thing to do is drop a note to customer service and tell them what you want.

Is there any way to list on the schedule page both subscriber and retail dates? I see this confusion come up a lot and it might alleviate some of the questions as well as promote the subscription services to those who want product a few weeks sooner.

Even if you're not a subscriber, the effective release date for paizo.com customers is the "ships to subscriber date." However, since the retail release date is also the date we allow folks to buy the PDF, we do want to show that date eventually. It's just one of many tweaks on Gary's lengthy to-do list.

(emphasis mine)

That makes me a sad panda, even if it does give me another week or two to get caught up on my non-Paizo reading. Elsewhere on the forums it was stated that the Pathfinder products will eventually shift to a start of the month schedule--will this also be true for Planet Stories?

That's the goal, though—as with the Pathfinder products—it will take a few months to get there. (We're also switching shippers for Planet Stories after Hounds of Skaith, so we have yet to see what impact that will have on delivery times.)
