Hey Everyone,
I'm looking to start a low key, 4th edition game here at paizo.
Not looking to convert or teach anyone really.
Books = phb
Setting: Standard Heroic Fantasy (bit more tolkien but no mary sue elves or anything)
I appreciate a strong posting ethic and a fast paced game, with a focus on playing the game rather than drama.
give a shout out

whoops knew i forgot something,
Starting Level 1,
Adventure: Homebrew
emphasis on the RP over the dice rolling and mini moving (probably no visual aids will be used in the game )
Also to help achieve the emphasis on the rp, monster's wont give xp in and of themselves, But i would like to see the 4th quest system step up to help keep the xp flowing.
As such each player would need a major or minor quest to start off with
What do i need for a quest,
A level, a goal, and a reward.
Ie your goal may be slay the troll king
choose the level you want to finish this quest at
Reward, Not xp, (this is determined by how tough and long it took) but gold, items, renown, etc
example quest
Save the princess, level 2
Goal, save the princess from egg of coot and his dark tower of nebulous affairs
Reward, the king's approval to seek his daughter's hand in marriage
that kind of thing.
Hope that helps

I have never played in a play by post game. However, I am very experienced in tabletop gaming and am very vigilant in checking the progress of things, email ect.
Does a play by post game happen a certain time a week or does everybody check in a couple times a day to see whats happening and respond with the actions of their character?
The long and short of it is I am interested in playing if you don't mind explaining a bit of how the process works.
If you don't mind doing a little coaching, and I am a fast learner,
Then I am partial to defenders, preferably a paladin, but I am negotiable on both race and class.
Let me know if you are interested and I will further develop a character concept.
Thanks,
