Vision Of The Darkland

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Dark Archive

I was watching a program about the giant crystal cave in Mexico. It was amazing and it gave me a new vision of the Darkland. I would suggest that anyone who gets a chance should take a look at it. There are some awesome things there, like fluid filled crystals. Imagine if they had phospherescent bacteria inside, they could create a fantastic light source for the people who live there. I could also see entire cities grown out of crystal. It would make an amazing addition to any Darkland adventure. Of course, maybe James and them already knew about and have included it the upcoming sourcebook.

Grand Lodge

I saw a similar cave the other day on TV (Discover Channel I think). The cave was carved from Sulfuric Acid instead of rain water! My father-in-law was talking through the whole show so I barely heard any of it (trying to get him to shut up is like getting Urgothoa to put on some weight). What I saw was amazing.

There's a region deep in Orv called the Crystal Womb that would work quite well for all of this type of crystalline stuff.
