Scarab Sages

WTF? There wasn't a Diablo III thread already? That's just crazy!

This game looks completely kick-ass! Here is a link to the website for those who haven't seen it.

And they recently put up stuff about the Wizard - kick ass.

Ooooooh! I'll have to check out the new wizard stuff. Last time I looked, all they had was the Barbarian and Witch Doctor. I am so getting this game when it comes out.

*drools on the thread*

More...clicky...madness! I'll have to purchase a new mouse just in case.

I highly recommend any one of Razer's mice. My Diamondback has served me well for years and is amazingly flexible and versatile. I really want to get one of the new Lachesis mice, but they don't come in Red. :(

It looks great and I'm excited. But while I think they seem to have made a few great changes, I wish they had taken a few more chances on the classes. Barbarian is exactly the same, of course. But I see little difference between D2's Necromancer and Sorceress and D3's Witch Doctor and Wizard. Next revealed will likely be: some sort of leader type that gives bonuses to allies like the Paladin and then a ranged attack specialist like the Amazon.

Well, I think it was pretty obvious they were going to have a magic heavy sorcerer-wizard type. Although it does look like they've tweaked the powers a bit - disintegrate looks sweet. I agree though that the Witch Doctor looks like a slightly different verision of the Necromancer - and while I loved the Necromancer, let's try for something new.

However, in reading some of the articles on gamespot.com I did notice that they are expanding on customizing options with a new variation on a previous feature - allowing runes (and perhaps more?) to agument the skill tree. Don't like your palin old lightening bolt? Put in a rune that turns it into a chain lightening. Stuff like that could be pretty cool!
