It's a distance of just under 50 miles along a road through hills, basically.
On foot, at a speed of 30 feet, it's about a 16 hour walk, generally split into two days with a rest stop half way between at a roadside inn.
On horseback, at a speed of 60 feet, it's about a one day ride. This distance is actually the reason I put Sandpoint and Magnimar where they are; it makes sense that for a horse riding north, the place where that day's ride ends is a natural place to have a settlement.

My calculations were that it was 40 some miles from Sandpoint to Magnimar (see this thread).
