SCAP Session Logs

Shackled City Adventure Path

Where is the best place to post your SCAP session notes for others to read? I keep detailed session notes for every session of any campaign I DM on my web page and was thinking I'd like to share my SCAP ones with you guys.

Should I post the URL to them here?

Be warned that my web page includes a detailed gazetteer of my homebrew world and Cauldron and its surrounds have been integrated into it, and the details of the locations and NPCs in the campaign that the PCs have uncovered are available for anyone to look up so its not a good place to go if you're a player in a SCAP campaign as you could easily stumble across spoilers. Its fine for my players (and external DMs) as there is nothing on there that the party don't know.

At least post the link here, I'd like to read. Reading other groups summaries helps me get ideas.

Okay then here we go:

Spoilers abound!!!

The World of Rodinia - my homebrew world into which I've put Cauldron and its surrounds. This page helps explain how to navigate around the gazetteer, which should be fairly self explanitory anyway.
My gazetteer entry for Cauldron - remember some entries have more details than others. The map on the right side panel leads to a clickable map of the whole city which is very useful in getting to specific locales.
The Rodinia IV Campaign - this is the campaign based in Cauldron. That link leads you to one long collection of all the session notes for the campaign, but using the navigation bar on the right you can split it into more manageable chunks.
Magma Force - The PCS.

Any comments on the site or the campaign would be appreciated.

Anyone else got session notes to share? I'd also like to read them...

Marvelous. It makes me feel like such a schlep for not being so detailed. Still, this is my first time out as DM and the adventure is going on its third year (LoO is just beginning).

Been ages since I posted our session logs here but seeing as I just put another one on my web page I'll post a link to it HERE.

We finished Chapter Four (Zenith Trajectory) last night and it was an awesome session. SESSION NOTES are written up on my web page.

We're using 4E and the final fight with Zenith was a classic. I had created him as a 10th level Elite with lots of "push" powers. I also had the top whip (a 7th level elite) in the room and he had his pincer staff which he could use to grab, shift and drop people, plus he has his Slime Vortex power which can be used to shift people. In the centre of the room was the teleport circle which teleported people to the platform in the main temple not all that far away. So the whole way through the fight Zenith kept pushing PCs into the circle or the whip kept grabbing and dropping them into the circle with his staff. Net result, all the way through the fight people kept appearing on the platform and having to run up three flights of stairs to get back to the melee!!! It was a really wide ranging tactical battle which eventually spilled out onto the platform in the main temple. One which we'll all remember for years I think. I'm loving the wide ranging nature of 4E combats!

Also, Camero, the Wrymblooded wizard, met Dhorlot the Dragon Father last night. The PCs had a bit of a stand off with Dhorlot and both agreed to leave the others be. Dhorlot asked Camero to stay behind for a brief chat whilst the others left and they talked about his mother and what had happened. Camero isn't sure how he feels about the dragon and now has a clue as to where his mother might be. Its all good! Also Dhorlot mentioned he was going to return to the minotaur tribe he used to be lord over, so I'm hoping that will foreshadow when Camero's half brother (the half dragon, half minotaur) turns up. Should be another interesting encounter that one!

The party are now on a little recess/interlude before the Tax Riot starts Chapter Five. I have lots of sweet little character development ideas which will be hatched in this interlude so I'm looking forward to the next session a lot!

Played Session One of Chapter Five last night. Lots of it was filler stuff and character development but it concluded with the Cauldron Tax Riot.

All I can say is this campaign is absolutely kicking off right now! The players are loving it! I'm loving it! Awesome stuff!

Thanks to all you guys out here in Forum land - I'm stealing stuff off you left right and centre to flesh out this campaign and its really paying off.

Cheers!

Hmmm, I keep forgetting to post my session logs here. Hey ho.

We played Session Four of Chapter Five last night.

Cheers!

We played Sesion Five of Chapter Five last night. They figured out the Starry Mirror in about half an hour or so with only one little prompt to tell them they should go through the mirror in the throne room before trying to figure out what the sequence meant, after they'd spent 25 minutes of faffing in the throne room. Once in the coloured rooms they cracked it within 5 minutes.

Session Six of Chapter Five played out last night. They mostly watched as Nabthatoron ripped Alek limb from limb and they fought a bunch of his minion demons. Nab then teleported away and Kaurophon arrived on the scene, summoning a bunch more demons that he could then "save the party" from.

I'm looking to the party meeting Nab again when they return to the Demonskar as part of Chapter Seven when looking for KK. That's when I think they'll finally fight and defeat him and Alakast can "move on" as 4E artifacts are supposed to.
