Today the Obama campaign is proud to announce our vision of change for the Pro-Obama Dungeons and Dragons crowd. In the interest of change and growing our economy, we will ask Congress to pass a bill requireing everyone to switch over to Fourth Edition by April. We hope that this will help to heal the rift between nubes and grognards and allow us to establish a time table to pull our troops out of the edition wars. In order to mitigate the financial difficulty that this may cause, you will be able to trade in your 3.5 and Pathfinder books for a 20% discount on Fourth Edition products. More details will be 4th coming. Thank you.

Before this thread gets locked, let me just put this little bit of commentary here...
"The croakers all say we'll rue the day
There'll be hell to pay in fiery purgatory
Through all the gloom, through all the gloom
I see the rays of ravishing light and glory!
Is anybody there? Does anybody care?
Does anybody see what I see?
I see fireworks! I see the pagaent and
Pomp and parade
I hear the bells ringing out
I hear the cannons roar
I see Americans - all Americans
Free forever more!"
John Adams (William Daniels), 1776(1972)

What makes you think that this thread will be locked? We have managed to maintain a civil discourse on several political threads, and so far only one has been locked. That was only after 17 pages of commentary and only because a few people could not discuss their differences in a civil tone. Besides, this was meant to be purely humorous and if someone can't see the humor in politics and gaming, maybe they need to spend some time in rehab.

You're probably right, but I've seen enough political threads end in train wrecks that perhaps I'm a bit gunshy. Especially with this election, where things have been so razor's edge IMO.
Like I said, I hope everyone realizes that my OP is meant as a joke and take it in that spirit.

Well maybe if all your views were not so inanely illogical and emotionally charged. I mean really! How can you defend your stance against mandatory gay marriages?

It is the will of the gods, just like the manditory sterilization of poodles.
