So I was waiting for some important insurance papers to come in; they did. But I also got an interesting piece of mail. I opened it and inside was a membership card, and papers telling me how I could have cheap health care for little or no cost.
Now that would have made me happy, except the paper/card were from...
Everyone in my house had a good life after I showed them.

I've never heard of the AARP before (I'm assuming it's an American thing, and I'm Canadian) so I followed your link. Funny thing, although I got the gist of what they are, I could not find anywhere on their website a breakdown of the acronym. I'm guessing "Aged" and "American" or something similar for the two "A"s, but I don't know. It's not a big deal or anything, I just find it funny when organizations do that.

We have something similar in Australia (Australian Pensioners Insurance) That and all Australians have free health care except for dental....
The thing about API is that they run these very annoying adds about how everybody under the age of 55 are dangerous or just not Groovy... Makes me want to find a "baby boomer" and do some thing dangerous and evil to them in a very groovy way.
