It hasn't been a good day, constantly remembering where I was three years ago today as Katrina swept into my city. And I know I'm not alone in this among the people who post to the Paizo boards.
To all of you out there who were affected by Katrina- or any of these other damn storms- I just wanted to send you my best. That's all.
I will also add a prayer to Whomever is listening that Gustav does not add any more misery to your area next week.
Good schnikies I hate hurricanes. My area is due, we haven't had one since '91.
My thoughts are with you and all who suffered on that day, Icon. I hope both this sad anniversary and Gustav pass you and your city by with a minimum of heartache.
Amen. I got to see the before and after picture of that area. Needless to say, it was not fun. Katrina hastened the death of my Dad's GF and I also believe his too. Of course, if my Dad had taken care of himself... ~shakes my head~ Katrina was a royal mess. There is no doubt of that.
Here we go again. Gustav is on his way. Believe it or not, my sister and I haven't even finished repairing our houses from Katrina. Everyone in my family has evacuated. I happen to be on vacation right now and was already out of town. Nothing to do now but sit and wait. Wish us luck!

Ditto. The "mother of all storms" speech from Ray Nagin made it into the evening news over here, and I wish all those affected by Gustav the best.
