I've just been invited to join a Facebook group called "Pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons Crowd," in the wake of Michael Goldfarb's bafflingly polarizing comments on behalf of the McCain camp. What I like is there's a few people who I believe would call themselves Republicans on there, but they don't like broad-brush strokes about their lifestyle. A large number of people involved the creation of the last two editions of D&D are among the "PODD People."

Anyway, I don't know if everybody can see the group, but I seem to have a link that allows me to invite members. So if anyone can't join and needs an invite, leave a note to that effect here and I'll do so in a couple of days.

And yes, Barack Obama's 4E stats are on there.

I wonder what his 3.5 stats are?

And by "wonder," you clearly mean "volunteer to write."

Exactly.

That 4e version of Obama has way too much experience. In my game at least, you have to participate to get xp. You can't just say "Present" and expect to get anywhere. Otherwise, it looks ok.

I don't know if you could pull off having a Barack Paladin in 3.5 though. 4e has no alignment restriction on paladins. 3.5 prohibits paladins from associating with evil characters like Bill Ayers.

I think it's right next to a prestige class called Sellout, usually the Mavericks take a few levels in it...

;-)

nader is a qualification all to himself. i wouldn't want to insult a qualification by putting him in it...

Yay! I totally joined, and have suggested many of my friends do the same!

I know this has been said before, but if a few "republicans" are not voting for McCain because of some lame comment that his aide made, I have no respect for them at all.
