If I order from the Paizo store directly, as it pertains to Pathfinder items, say, does that help Paizo more than ordering from other stores and distributors?
I'm paying more in terms of shipping, but I'm doing it gladly to support Paizo. I'm just curious as to how true this logic may be.
Insights?
Hey Red Death:
Ordering directly from Paizo always helps us more than ordering anywhere else because we make a lot more money from each item sold. When we sell into distribution, we only make 40% or less of the retail price. However, we obviously don't mind when our customers prefer to order from another source because it is cheaper for them or they want to support their local game story. Everyone has their reasons for shopping where they do and we totally support our customers the best we can by putting our products in as may places as possible so they have a choice. But if you are strictly looking at how much it benefits Paizo, ordering direct from us is always the best.

Thanks for asking this, Red Death. I've always wondered myself, especially as regards Paizo's profile at gaming stores. Since I don't have one here, it's not really an option, but I was curious.
You're welcome! I've ordered tons of stuff here from another account of mine and was wondering just how much this actually helped.
Thanks for the clarifications, Lisa! Much appreciated, as always. :-)

I order from paizo direct for this reason too. I hold a decent enough job to afford this and I like to support Paizo any way I can.
The only things I havent bought directly from Paizo is some of the earlier Gamemastery modules. Now that my collection is complete, I subscribe/purchase directly.
This company is too damn friendly to not want to support :) .
