Has anyone done a count of how many supporters (either characters or players) each faction now boasts? It seems like Cheliax is out to a bit of a lead, but that's just my own subjective eyeballing.

Over 400 people have already registered, but we have seen nowhere near that number post online. I think the online community may be a little skewed towards Andoran and Cheliax, but who knows what the overall breakdown is? As for official specifics, Mr. Frost has already stated that they won't tell us faction numbers(they will tell us faction point totals, however).

By my reckoning it's just over 25% Andoran, 15% Qadira, with Cheliax, Osirion, and Taldor each on just under 20%.
Rough numbers:
Andoran 67
Cheliax 48
Osirion 46
Qadira 37
Taldor 47
So probably about 200 people unaccounted for, and the distribution may be a bit skewed. I'm a bit suprised at just how many people are going for the dull-as-dishwater, labrador puppy faction! :)
The reason it looks like there are more Chelaxians than there really are is that we're a friendly and sociable bunch who post on a wide variety of threads :) we're actually throughly average and no threat whatsoever, so please feel free to not worry about us :) The war-mongering Andorans are clearly the obvious threat, and Qadira is in stealth mode and obviously up to something by hoping everyone will underestimate them.

While true the Taldor faction lacks in numbers as our mighty empire appears to slumber. We will not allow ourselves be denied, every Taldorian birthright, to walk with honor, strength and pride. We serve no demon nor naive ideal, we're a mighty empire quietly waiting to heal. We have learned what our ancestors taught, an ancient truth, which can't be bought. So if we're forced to swallow our pride, the size of which can't be denied. I am willing to do what's needed, my lessons learned and ancient warnings heeded. Let the other factions help us we must, though I do not advocate trust. They're tools to our end, aiding our once mighty empire to mend.
