Changing Factions

If a role-playing reason arises for a character to change faction, can it happen or are you stuck with the faction that you have chosen from the beginning?

It is explained in the OP Guide. You can but there are some consequences to it including a loss of all your AP. I think there is a section call Changing factions in the faction Chapter...but I am not looking at it right now.

From what I understand, you can only change factions in the month of July.
