I dotted in to Gameplay, because I don't want to pass up a GM Tyranius game if I don't have to...
But, I don't want to hold up the game if folks are ready to go. I put 5/30 as my start time on the signup sheet because 1) I will be out of town through 5/30, and 2) I hope to play this PC over the weekend. Also, for full disclosure, I am currently playing this repeatable scenario with other PCs.
So, if my presence in this game is either 1) keeping you all from starting earlier and/or 2) preventing other players ready to go from getting to play at this table, then I am willing to bow out. (Otherwise, if you'll have still have me, I will be playing with a limited capacity until the 30th.)

I will leave that up to the party Rozzicheep. I am good to wait, though not sure on everyone's status.
Ceserre

I would personally prefer to wait as well, as I will be at PaizoCon until the 29th, and this character won't technically be legal until then. If people want to start now, I can drop out as well and wait for the next one.
Breq Torren
|
I will also be at Paizocon, but I'm good to wait till next week to officially start. I don't have any plans for this character there though, so I'm good to start whenever.
GM Tyranius
|
Haha. Alright so we will kick this off on the 30th then. I'll post the intro then.
Breq Torren

Breq is also ready to go!
GM Tyranius
|
Sounds good I will kick off the intro! Hope you all had a great weekend.

Looks like we have a lot of good gunners. Perhaps the Drake is the right choice?
GM Tyranius
|
These are what sounded like your primary choices so far. Unfortunately there can only be a single Pilot and Captain. ALos 3 gunners might be a bit much for a lvl 1 scenario.
OMID (Pilot)
Breq (Gunner)
Sidor
Hunterkiller (Gunner)
Lightfoot (Captain)
Ceserre (Gunner)
We also have 2 votes for the Drake. Once majority have chosen I'll push onward.

These assignments work for me. Lightfoot is not a good captain, but since everyone else appears to be better at everything else, it is probably where he is likely to do the most good.
With a +0 modifier to Diplomacy, though, just don't expect much help from him. However, if you need encouragement, he will make the DC 10 on Engineering most of the time and on Gunnery more often than not--though his pacifist ways make his doing the latter somewhat unlikely.
In character, Lightfoot will be ecstatic with this assignment--at least initially!

I volunteer to be tertiary gunner. There are two turret weapons on the Drake, and one in every arc. So three people could shoot at once. So I could start as a scientist, then hops to guns after a scan or two.

Which tier of starship are we using for this scenario? Tier 2? I personally would prefer the Pegasus since it has a science lab, which *might* come in handy exploring this station? I truly don't know if it will have anything we need to analyze with the science lab, and it would reduce or combat effectiveness by a bit, but it could help, I dunno.
Also, perhaps Ceserre could take the captain's chair and Rozzicheep could take the engineering deck? It would still appeal to Rozzicheep's pacifistic tendencies, and I for one would greatly appreciate his skills as an engineer! And Ceserre has a decent ability to Encourage, Demand, or Taunt with her +6 to diplomacy and intimidate, which means she should be making them around 50% of the time on a tier 2 ship

I am fine either way.

Just waiting to hear from Sidor. Correct. It would be the Tier 2 ship.
OMID (Science)
Breq (Gunner)
Sidor
Hunterkiller (Gunner)
Lightfoot (Engineer)
Ceserre (Captain)
Drake- 3
Pegasus- 2

K I'll move ahead this evening without Sidor if nothing by then. Anyone up for pilot? Otherwise you can always Glide as a minor action with no pilot.
Glide (Helm Phase, Minor)
You move the starship at half its normal speed. The starship can
take turns during this movement, but the starship’s distance
between turns increases by 2. You can add your ranks in the
Piloting skill to the starship’s AC and TL for this round. You can
only take this action if no other pilot actions have been taken
during the helm phase (including glide).

I have a +9 piloting. I can do it.

Sorry guys, haven't been able to post cause for some reason my computer is shifting everything on Paizo to the right, so I can't read everything that's going on in the gameplay thread. I'm trying to get it figured out as fast as I can

Is there some way to attach Lightfoot's merciful fusion to one of the ship's weapons? If so, he would do that to assist with the guns (assuming outrunning it is not a reasonable possibility).
Alternatively, could he take the -4 penalty to deal nonlethal with ship's guns?
Both options seem unlikely, but I thought I would ask.
GM Tyranius
|
Unfortunately not Lightfoot, though with the armory book coming out next month maybe they will add in more stuff like that for Ship combat.
I have not seen anything concerning non-lethal damage with ship weapons either, but I can do some more research. For now though it cannot, due to the high damage nature of ship's weapon systems.

I'm sorry, my schedule has gotten unexpectedly busy so I won't be able to participate.
GM Tyranius

Thanks for the update Sidor :)

Diplomacy may have failed (poor Lightfoot, he appears to be an envoy trapped in a soldier's build), but the natives clearly know something about the outpost, it's history, and/or defenses and there are other social skills that can be used untrained.
Lightfoot certainly is not inclined to use Bluff or Intimidate, but other PCs may be.
Breq Torren
|
I'm not sure... I can't tell if we're supposed to chase them and do a side quest in the village or if we failed the social encounter and need to go into the storm unaided.
Sidor Louthan

OK, my scheduled has opened up so I have put myself in for different scenarios you are running.
Would you please remove me from this one? All of those unread posts are driving my crazy! :)
GM Tyranius

Got ya Sidor! :)
Anyone hear from Ceserre lately?
GM Tyranius
|
No problem, just didn't want to get too far ahead of you :)

Please roll day jobs now if you have them and have not done so already.

Look them over for any errors and let me know if anyone needs any corrections. Hope you all enjoyed and see you around the tables soon!
GM Tyranius

Ceserre and Breq please verify your SFS numbers on the link above as they didn't seem to want to populate in the reporting tool.
Breq Torren

Darn... stupid fat fingers. It's supposed to be 240237-703! I missed the 3. Thanks for double checking!
GM Tyranius

Alright. Both are corrected. Ceserre it may have just been lagging on yours.
