Hi, my group is playtesting Pathfinder RPG in this days, my GM is going to use the Rise of the Runelords Campaign, i have decided to go for a Half Elven Cleric of Iomedae, but she is not from the region, but in personal bussiness to learn about her grandmother.
I don't know a lot of the setting and i plan to learn more, but can you give me any ideas she could come from? a place where either the faith in Iomedae is strong or rather new (her father is a cleric of Iomedae too, i am updating from a different cleric i did in another campaign years ago who served a god of Justice)
aside of that, there is a ton of years i have not done a Cleric, if there is any regional feat from where she cames, there is any recommendation you will do for a Cleric of Justice, more focused with dealing with people (both in combat and in care) that reciting text from the holybook by memory?
thanks

In the Rise of the Runelords Player's Guide (the group should get a copy, if possible), the feat City Born (Magnimar) seems like a good match. You get a +1 to Reflex saves and a +2 to Diplomacy checks. If you take Skill Focus (Diplomacy) for your Adaptability racial trait, you can start with a +5 to Diplomacy, even before adding skill ranks, the class-skill bonus, and Cha mod. A 1st level cleric with a 14 Cha can end up with a +1(rank)+3(class-skill)+2(City Born)+3(Skill Focus)+2(Cha)=+11 Diplomacy check modifier!

thanks after thinking for a while that was one of my options actually, but with Adaptability in Sense Motive (but you are right that would have been a killer's Diplomacy)
right now she has Diplomacy of +5, but Sense Motive of +10 (+3 wis, +3 class skill, +1 rank, +3 adaptability
Since we are trying a few things in this "table" (for example the DM let the Bard's Player convert teh "psionic feat" of Open Minded to Pathfinder using toughness for template, now it gives +3 skill points when taken and +1 skill point extra each new level) the DM let me loose before i choose City Born...
so I asked him if i could have a Feat that came to mind based on City Born, after twinking it a bit he let me had it.

Aura of Rightiousness
Prerequisites: Lawful Good Alignment
You exude an aura of calm, peace and faith which soothes the worries of noble people and worries does of ill intent. It also makes your intentions transparent making you a rotten liar. Your presence is strong enough to make you a beacon in the dark.
Benefit: +2 to Diplomacy when dealing with people of Lawful or Good Alignment, +2 to Intimidate when dealing with people of Evil and Chaotic Alignment, -6 to Bluff.
Special: If the character is a Cleric or a Paladin the effect of her Aura of Good is doubled; if not she or he gains the Aura of Good (Ex). If the character changes alignment the Feat is lost until atonement.

Actually my intention was only for good and evil, but the DM got Lawful and Chaotic involved, while taking away the +1 on Will for strong concience i was thinking of... i suggested a -2 in bluff but he enforced the -6, of course i am sure he took it mostly for the doubling of my Cleric's Aura of Good... I know she will live in Interesting Times from now on...
Any thoughts about it? (je i was in a hurry we began playing in the night).
