Alphabetical by last name with Stan!'s last name being "!", I presume.

Paizo Employee Creative Director

Correct. Alphabetical by last name, with Stan! messing it up for the rest of us. ;-)

Stan!'s had the excalimation mark in his name for all kinds of years now. Certain authors like to see their names certain ways, like the way Sean K Reynolds has no period after the "K" in his name (nope, that's not typo). For most folks, this doesn't fly, but when you've got the chops, the name cred, and the good will built up with your editors, you get to see yourself credited any way you want.

Speaking of naming conventions, it occurs to me that there aren't all that many names that begin with an "F". Care to disclose your given first name Wes? Might it be the same as the accomplice of a certain Barny Rubble?

Does paizo use a different sort of alphabetical order than I remember learning in school?

This is why I sort all lists of people's names by their first name.

Edit: Although now that I think about it, I'd sort "F. Wesley Schneider" under W, not F, because to me his first name is "Wes," which runs counter to my stated rule. Damn you F. Schneider for messing up my facile sorting rule!

What I want to know is how Stan! prefers his name to be spoken.

Simply stressed or punctuated by jumping out from behind things?

C'mon! It can't be worse than James Sutter's middle name. LOL

I have a very close friend (and fellow D&D player etc) who went by his middle name, but officially his full name started with the 'F' just like F. Wesley Schneider. He did it because he HATED his real first name ... Francis.

Wes, might that be it?

YeGawd No. It's not Francis.

Maybe it's not a name, huh? Maybe it's all a clever joke or conspiracy Gary's set up. You know, like, "F Wesley Schneider. F him right to the moon." Sounds pretty likely, right?

Wes,
How long have you gone by Wes or Wesley? As far back as you can remember? Or when you became old enough to to say, "I don't want to called F anymore! Call me Wes!"

Like Admiral Lord Nelson?

That'd be Vice Admiral Admiral Horatio Nelson.
