To be true, I'm not even sure it was an adventure, and I'm not sure it was a pathfinder adventure, but I'm pretty certain of that. (Or maybe it was in Dungeon?)
Unfortunately, I have no idea what's the name of it or what it was really about. But maybe someone remembers and might help me out.
- So, there was an ancient magical valley and in its center was a single small mountain, that had a magical city on its top. The original owners were gone long ago, but now a tribe of hobgoblins(?) has taken up camp there and captures slaves from the people of the surrounding lands. And there's something ancient and magical deep beneath the old city and I think the slaveholders need the slaves because they want to dig it free or something.
Yeah, not very precise, but maybe it rings a bell with someone. ^^

Okay, doing some research, I found that the few things I still remember extremely closely resemble the layout for the place, that holds "The Lost Temple of Tharizdun".
A forest-valley in the mountains inhabited by gnomes and plagued by evil humanoids from an ancient citadel. They are ruled by powerful beings (giants) and held as slaves, and there's a chamber deep below that holds a great stone somwhow tied to Tharizdun.
But that still doesn't explain were I've seen that first. Was there a rewrite of it in one of the latest Dungeon issues?
