Asther starts to think...."Hmmmm, yes, I do know where this "oldest tree" is. I'll be happy to take you there. Oh and on more thing," Asther turns to thimble. "Thimble...your father...he's alive! Well, might be, after all this disease stuff. But last I saw him was when I was 20. He was traveling east in search better lumbering material. But that was a year ago. And that's all I know, I'm sorry."

Wow! He rolled a 1 both times!
"That's good you know where the Eldest tree is Asther, I have a vague idea of where the other two places are, but I don't think I could guide us there. But I know a man at the lumber camp who might know. We will go there and ask him."

You hear the sound of clomping and squeaking. Through the mist appears a huge wagon pulled by four huge draft horses.
When Thimble gets on the wagon, the driver says "Hey Thimby. Back to work eh?"
When Asther tries to board, he says "I'm sorry m'lady, but being as you dont work for da Constorium, it'll be 3 silveys for you to ride."
Asther
Asther then arrives. "Good Morning everyone! So good to see you all." Asther turns to the horse. "Yes, thank you Vartan, I love riding horses, its natural for me. But, Dena, my hawk does not like horses much, so she will be flying beside us, that won't spook the horse, right. Horses don't mind birds, but all horses are different."

Soon you ride into the lumber camp. It is in a stump filled clearing that is like a scar on the forest. It has five sturdy log buildings along with several carts and sleds of various sizes. Sawdust covers everything. Of in the distance you hear the sounds of chopping, and occasionally a tree crashing to the ground.
There are three rough looking limberjacks not far from where the wagon stops to let everybody off. They look over at the people getting off the cart and throw hard looks to the two who just rode up on horse back.
One of them, a younger one, recognizes Thimble and says "Yo Thimby! I thought you wernt coming bak 'till tommory. Hows yer mums?"

The lumberjack who spoke to Vartan now turns to Asther.
"Usually I don' talk to no Greenfire witches, but since yer wit' Thimby, I'll be nice. I can tell a Greenfire when I see one. Your people come roun' here, beggin the booses to stop cuttin', only we don', see. So we don' like Greenfires becuase they don' want us to cut an' sumtimes they try an' stop us. Dem and Dem slinky forest monsters. Dem feys."

"You look like a strong guy, so I'm not gonna mess with ya. But next time you see a green fire it'd be smart not to call them a witch" Asther smiles "Just warning ya"

Thimble leads the three of you to the office, one of the log buildings. The camp foreman's office is a filthy room filled with stuffed forest animals.
Jarlben, the foreman, is sitting behind a desk when you enter. He sees Thimble and says:
"Back to work early eh, Thimble? Well, then you..." he trails off when he sees Vartan and Asther come into the office after Thimble.
Dungeon Master Dad
"Milon? What the f@#$ do you want him for? And who are these two?" looking at Asther and Vartan. "Are they with you?"
Whoever speaks next needs to make a diplomacy check. You make this kind of check to try to get people to tell you something or do something for you. Roll 1d20 and add your Charisma bonus (for Thimble and Asther it's +0, for Vartan it's -1).

Asther talks to the boss "Hi, I'm Asther, Thimble and I were in line at an herb shop in search of herbs for our ill relatives. Varten, here, and the counter lady, Laurel, asked us to find special ingredients for the new medicine recipe. So, we were hoping Milon will know where one of the ingredients are, but, we don't know where to find Milon."
Dungeon Master Dad
Jarlben is not a kind man. He laughs.
"Like hell you are. Thimble get your a@# back to work. You other two, you can go and find Milon yourselves if you want, Just don't interfere with my camp."
Thimble, you can try to be tough and intimidate him into giving you what you want. You're +4 in the Intimidate skill. Roll 1d20+4.

Jarlben softens up.
"Allright, Allright. No need to get bent out of shape. You can go. Laffen, get out here!" he calls.
A young lumberjack comes out of the back-office. "Go find that ranger Milon for me. He's got to be wandering around here somewhere."
The young lumberjack rubs his eyes and looks stupid.
"Go!" Jarlben shouts, and Laffen scoots away.
"Idiot. You people can wait outside." he says to you three. "Laffen will find Milon soon enough if he doesn't get lost."
