So you poped down to the scrap dealers and picked up as many of the same Toshiba laptop nickle-hydride rechargable batteries as you can get and built yourself a 1 KWh battery pack, then picked up a large electric motor to give your little car some drive shaft turning power...ripped out the petrol engine, gearbox, and fueltank.

Having added the electric battery charger, you find yourself with a crude little plug-in auto.
