Eltariel clambers back down to the ground and moves towards the vial.Carefully she picks it up and begins the incantation to analyse its magic.
"Hey the door closed" Avinar blurts out
"Never mind that..we have...company" says Layjiani staring up at the top of the ziggaraut. There the cube has gone to be replaced with a boxy humanoid figure
"It..just grew from the cube...when you picked the vial up" the ranger explains
Eltariel in B6 Avinar in A6 the rest off you tell me where you are in the room

Layjiani
Finally! It's BOLA time! =D
Moving quickly and feeling more curious than threatened at this point, Layjiani whips out her bola's and expertly throws them to wrap around the ankles of the strange construct, hopefully bringing it crashing to the floor.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 (ranged touch attack)
CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 (vs CMD to trip)
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
This is straight from you Wellard- "(plus Trip: CMB=BAB+Str+Dex)-DC12 escape artist to work it loose, takes victim 1d3+1 rounds of full round actions to unwrap from around them and whilst entangled they can move only 5'/round(hopping or crawling"
DM Wellard
Layjianis bolas wind around the things legs as it stands on the top of the Ziggaraut..it wobbles and then falls to the ground where it stands...
Eltariel maintains her spell..the construct is indeed now showing as magical..stong transmutation magic and some abjuration emenate from it..
As the thing lies on the platform it does not try and untie the bolas merely transforms into a cube again..(standard action) the expands into it's construct form soundlessly and smoothly(move action) leaving the bolas lying at it's feet
Gashelle Smith
If I understand the situation correctly, the construct is going to likely pass within Gashelle's striking range if it tries to go after Etariel, which should provoke an Attack of Opportunity from Gashelle. That's good. If that would require a held action instead, Gashelle will hold rather than attack.
If Gashelle can poke at it with her glaive after Avinar acts, she'll try to do so.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 or 24 if it's chaotic.
Damage: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6, plus 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 if it's chaotic. (Gashelle is still wearing the golembane scarab from the Dripping Temple.)
Holgur
Holgur reasons that the edge of his axe would likely break against the creature's stone hide and pulls his hammer out. He waits until it is in melee range and moves forward so that the others can flank it.
Attack
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Layjiani
ah, my bad. Apologies
Knowing that regular arrows would be useless against the construct, the archer selects one of her speciality blunt iron arrows and lets fly against metal man-thing.
Attack & Damage:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
DM Wellard
no acp to initiative..my bad..got a clarification at Dragonmeet
Layjianis arrow caroms off the construct followed by a blow from the Sword of Truth that merely bounces off the stone
The guardian moves down the pyramid and Gashelle hits it as it passes out off her reach..it kicks out at Eltariel and the elven woman cries out as it slams into her slight frame (9 damage)
Avinar responds with a flurry that connects once..then Holgur smashes his hammer into it...(Bill you didn't dice damage so I did..12 points)
Gashelle Smith
Wellard, the attack and damage I'd posted were forGashelle's original strike. If she took an Attack of Opportunity against the construct:
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 + 2 if it's chaotic.
Damage: 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 + [dice}2d6[/dice] if it's chaotic.
"Do we beat it into rubble, or try to find some better way to deal with it?" Gashelle asks.
On her turn, Gashelle will move to the top of the ziggurat, to see if there's anything underneath where the construct was stationed.
DM Wellard
now I'm confused..Gashelle had no attack in round one as the construct was too far away and never moved past her..in round two I used the one roll we had for an attack as the AoO..
GM ruling... the initial attack stands as the AoO and the second misses anyway..
There is nothing on the top of the ziggaraut but Gashelle can see that the construct has what seems to be a ring on its back.
Holgur
Has the bell sounded for round 3?
Holgur feels a sense of desperation because this thing has shown no duress from the attacks placed upon it. He decides to gamble with a wild reckless swing.
"To Hela's rotted gap with you!"
attack
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
damage
1d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Eltariel Elessand
I have completely lost track of where we are, but I am assuming that it is something like this.
Eltariel will grab the vial and back way to the ziggurat (make a five-foot step to B-5), then muttering a word she is lifted unto the air by a sudden blast of wind that deposits her on the first step of the ziggurat (cast updraft to take her to C-5).
"Get ready to grab that ring when it turns to follow me!" she shouts to Avinar and Holgur.
Eltariel Elessand
OK I spoke with Wellard and apparently our positions are more like this, so I have to change my action or get belted.
Eltariel will five-foot step to A7 to hold the thing in position, taking the vial with her. She will be on full defensive (AC to 19), and will wave her sword generally at the stone and metal automaton to keep it's attention:
Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
"Avinar, help me keep it's attention!" Avinar should be able to help draw it's AoO for the round if he moves as well, and his AC of 24 can most likely take the blow of all of us.
"Layjiani!" she calls, "see if you can get that ring!"
DM Wellard
The construct does indeed seem intent on pursuing Eltariel..it lashes out striking her a glancing though still painful blow..(7 points)
Avinar strikes and hits again then tries to spin way from the creature only to have a thudding fist knock him off balance ribs cracking under the blow..(confirmed crit on the AoO 21 damage)
Then Holgurs hammer crunches into it again though it is a solid blow the Northman feels he should have done more damage than he seems to have.
Gashelle Smith
Before Holgur and Layjiani, Gashelle casts tripping hand on the construct, hoping to give her allies an easier chance of grappling with it.
Wellard, I know that ... somewhere on the discussion thread ... we discussed how tripping hand would work under the Beta playtest, but I don't think you've ruled about how the spell works under the final Pathfinder rules. Obviously, the spell generates a ranged attack against the construct's CMD, but I haven't a clue as to what its modifiers would be.
DM Wellard
I cant find the reference Chris the hand spells in PF final seem to work on a basis of caster level replacing BAB then a modification for the hands strength and size[the CMD for this creature is 26]..and Holgur goes before you in the initiative sequence..my bad for the misprint. Layjiani,.. you already took your action this round..patience my dear patience.
Round 2
Layjiani 20..shot construct
Eltariel 16 ...being bashed
Guardian 13....bashing with fervour
Avinar 11... hurting
Holgur 10...crushing
Gashelle 6 casting tripping hand
Aude 4(pending)
Round 3
Layjiani 20..grabbing for ring
Eltariel 16
Guardian 13
Avinar 11
Holgur 10
Gashelle 6
Aude 4

Tripping Hand: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 , plus 3 from INT, perhaps, plus whatever static bonus you feel the spell should employ.
