Darkmoon Vale and knaughty knife game question

I noticed that in D1: CotKK by Nicolas Logue mentions, "Raucous games of 'knivesies' and 'mig-a-mug-tug'..." in the appendix, but this has changed to "Raucous games of 'knivesies' and 'lefty-loosy'..." on page 31 of Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Darkmoon Vale by Mike McArtor.

Has the game changed, are all three games played, or has mig-a-mug-tug been decided as to no longer be among the games played in the Sitting Duck since it has been designated as the game of choice among ogres?

Assuming, then, that lefty-loosy is a game not to be confused with mig-a-mug-tug, is it detailed anywhere or otherwise pegged for elaboration at a future date? Even just a simple game objective/outline would be neato.

Long time no see DarkArt! Nick certainly does seem to want to keep his dirty little games secret doesn't he! Either that or James and the crew are having to pry his hands away from pressing the 'Submit Post' button. Or the PostMonster is running interference and keeping such evils from seeing the light of the messageboards and indelibly searing themselves onto our corneas...

We may never truly know the depravity that lurks in the depths of the Logue. And no matter how many times James tells us we don't want to know...
that shall not be enough. We are not children, you must let us make our own foolish mistakes.

I wonder if this cherry red stove is hot? I am going to check....brb.

Seriously though...I am one of those who is prepared to be subjected to the greatest of horrors...

The main thing here to remember is that while Knivesies is a pretty popular game among scoundrels and thugs and toughs... mig-a-mug tug is, in my mind, a game that's primarily played only by ogres. It's not something that most civilized races play, partially because they don't know about it because there's just not a lot of interaction between ogres and the rest of the world that's not ALL VIOLENCE, but also because those who DO know how to play mig-a-mug tug are smart enough to realize that it's too self destructive to be fun.

Anyway... lefty-loosy is indeed a completely different game than mig-a-mug tug. Lefty-loosy has nothing really to do with ogres at all. If there ARE references to mig-a-mug tug in Darkmoon Vale still... that's an error.

As for Lefty-Loosy... the rules to THAT game have yet to be revealed. (AKA: It's a name I came up with at the 11th hour to replace mig-a-mug tug with.)

If someone on this thread comes up with a cool set of rules for lefty-loosy, though, that'd be cool! :)

That sounds like a challenge... everyone post their ideas by tuesday and have James pick the best one :)

Maybe something that involves to people tied together at their right hands (with handcuffs or something that gives them a similar freedom of movement), and the left arm is free - and armed. With, say, a cosh on a string that is tied to the upper arm, or, at best, elbow (so you only have "loose" control over it). They try to get in proper hits with their cudgel, and if you get in enough hits, you win. Also, if you can disarm your enemy, you win, too - but you can only grab the cosh itself, not the rope it's on. You can wrestle with two hands (even if it's awkward since your right hands can't be far apart), try to get a good swing going with your cosh, and try to get the other guy off balance.

Some matches are all-out wrestling where each tries to get the other's cudgel while others try to win by beating the other guy senseless. Usually, both methods are allowed, but there's sometimes special matches where disarming isn't an option and you have to properly hit the guy with a ballistic cudgel.

I pictured something like 'red rover' (the two holding hands make a aided grapple check vs the breaker's grapple check?)with weird additional rules like 'when breaking through you can shoulder check the left person of the two whose grip you are trying to break as an unarmed attack. A successful hit gives those holding hands a -10 on their grapple check.'
