Did I read the wrong interview? I didn't see anything too radical or crazy in there. The VTT sounds pretty awesome, to be honest, which does make me sad we don't have it yet. I too thought that using it in lieu of an actual board might be interesting, although I'm not sure how well it'd really work.
Thanks for the link, it was a good read! :)

Did I read the wrong interview?
I don't think so. It just means you're the audience for 4E.
I'm visibly not, because all that talk about "times changing faster than we think" and such just leaves me totally cold (I don't have a cell phone, yet). Right here, I can see I'm not the customer they want.
Little nuggets that hint at things I totally don't want to see happen, like D&D not going entirely digital "in the foreseeable future", which means the idea IS on the table. There's a LOT of this kind of things in the interview that just confirm to me that they are taking the game in a direction that's not for me.
That said, and this has nothing to do with them, but this quote under the picture of the female dwarf in the character visualizer made me CRINGE: "D&D Insider's Character Visualizer aims to leave little to the imagination."
The total antithesis of what a tabletop role-playing game is supposed to do, to me.
Times have changed, and I'm not willing to follow.

There are some people who might see this as exactly what is right/wrong about 4th. I just wanted to make sure everyone remembered to respect other peoples opinions.
