Map of the Nentir Vale
w007!
I'm assuming that we have reference to that and it's not need to know.I'll use the one in my DMG but promise I'll keep away from all the other exciting info in there re fallcrest.

You can reference this map whenever you want. I'd prefer it if people weren't hanging around the back of the DMG. The map in there has more information on it, and I haven't decided how to handle it yet.

re A'loran's post ... ROFL :^D
I second mittean - character interactions are fun and funny already.
oh yeah and the draconic traslator that I'm using so far is http://draconic.twilightrealm.com
but I'll obviously translate anything of importance as I go
metagaia
I love the translator. Thanks a lot for finding that! I also read the post about the Draconic battle phrases, I will definitely use those and if I think of better ones I will let you know.
I can't see the map at the moment, it says that the site is down for maintenance, is this just me?

Cool thanks ... translator is a bit of fun ... I wasn't to look up more on the specific linguistics of Draconic, It's inspired me to dig ou tmy French and Italian language CDs :^D
I'm getting the map loading now ... if you need I can email you one or their are 1billion copies of the Nentir Vale map on the net or DMG pg 206 (still squinting so I don't read the text Ghetto).
fingers still crossed for 1st battle at Kava's mid AC and wreckingball build

GM
Kava just made a comment on the other board and I was thinking the same thing. When it comes down to ID'ing things will you check to see if anyone with the correct skills knows anything or do we have to inquire?
Inquire. In 4E everyone has every skill, but not everyone's character cares.

All halflings look like children to Kava and Demon. It's an honest mistake ;^)
Actually it was a rumor Kava started in her post - motherly instinct I guess.
------
re init - I think it might be but I'm a bit wierded out re the surprise round. It looked like everyone before me got a half round then it was GAME ON and from me on it was a full round. I'm new to 4E so forgive my ineptitude and 1 billion questions.
the order so far ...
kobolds, Anmuspi, the Demon,
Kava, A'loran, Brianna, Madresh.
cheers :^D
ghettowedge
The initiative order looks like this:
Kava - 18
A'loran - 17
Brianna - 16
Madresh - 12
Kobolds - 9
Anmuspi - 7
Demon - 4
At the start of the encounter, only Anmuspi, Demon, andd the kobolds were aware of other combatants. That's why there was a surprise round (PH p.267) and that's why the order started with the kobolds.
As long as your actions don't hinge on anybody else's (including the enemies') you may post your intended actions out of order to save time.

the freaky little cowards K2 and K6 ran away while adjacent to us.
Normally they would provoke OpAtks doing so but I seem to remember something about shifting when you miss re; either them or goblins or something. Is that what those little buggers are doing (a cool monster power) or does it seem to be the standard shift and move that we could do.

Shifting is a move action, but kobolds get to shift as a minor action. So, they are taking an attack, a move, and minor (shift). Your characters could attack and shift or move and shift, but not all three.
That's how they're attacking and retreating.
metagaia
Kava Divine Challenges K3 (minor; adjacent)
and Valiant Strikes K4 (+6+2 for adjacent enemies vs AC) with Hvy Flail
You'll have to forgive me since it's not my character, but I didn't think that's how divine challenge worked. I thought divine challenge meant you had to attack the one that you challenged or you lose the challenge. (PHB p91) meaning that if you're challenging K3 you probably should be attacking K3 or vice versa.

it says "you must engage the target. To engage the target you have to attack OR end you turn adjacent to the foe"
I see that as, as a defender I need to be able to pull multiple enemies ... in this case K3 off Brianna and give a sound thrashing too K3thanks for the tips though ... keep them comming :^)

I'm going to side with Prankster on this. As long as you end your turn next to the mark, it's good.

lol indeed. You're divine challenge to one kobold while training to forcibly remove the brains from the skull of the other one , reminds me of the lyrics "We come in peace, shoot to kill, shoot to kill, shoot to kill!" :)
HAHA ... Star Treckin' (I rolled a 20 on my Knowledge(history/nerd) check). Paladin DivChallenge is more of a majik compulsion to hit the shiny thing or bad stuff might happen though.

Dammit Kava, I'm a Warlord, not a miracle worker!
and a very good one at that Maddy. Just leave the miracles to little Kava.
Men! The way they keep doing circle of the battle field. Would it kill them to stop and ask for directions to the nearest enemy once and a while ;^)Madresh charges more than my VISA card :^D
Well done pasting K5; the teams doing great. I just have to work on my aim.

It's been over a day since Mitteon/Demon posted, and I know he's having internet issues, so I figured it was best to put him on delay.
Oh I forgot it's holidays over there ... happy hols all.

Hey dragon hugs all round from Kava. :^D
speaking of wich I guess you've all seen the Ecology (which it tres coolness).
We know from this that Kava is very warm, leathery and has frontal appendages for motherhood.
